2023 – Venice Weaver

Venice Weaver is the older sister of General Hospital’s Viron Weaver. Venice’s resume includes multiple projects including films and commercials.

1. How did you get started in the industry?
I got started in the industry through my parents. I had enjoyed acting from the beginning, attended a few acting classes and workshops, auditioned for various roles, and gradually built up my experience.

2. What is your earliest memory of being on set?
My earliest memory of being on set was in a Whirlpool commercial. It was very exciting and fun to shoot. It wasn’t a big role, but a very good first acting experience.

3. What are the challenges in trying to balance acting with school and your social life now that you are older?
Balancing acting with school and social life is challenging. Time management is a very important skill to have in these situations. I try to prioritize the acting job first, then school assignments. If there is an important test or friend hangout, I would communicate with my teachers and friends about commitments.

4. What was your experience like filming Fame-ish?
Filming Fame-ish was pretty cool. The director is a good friend of my parents and I grew up knowing him. So overall it was a fun project that I felt very comfortable doing.

5. Do you prefer working with your family on projects or getting a pretend family for a shoot?
I feel that while working with my family on projects I tend to be more comfortable, but it gets annoying sometimes because of that. Getting a pretend family for a shoot is very exciting though, and I find it allows me to connect with new people and build relationships and better acting experiences.

6. What was your time on set like working on DriverX?
Working on “DriverX” was also very fun. The set was familiar, as it was shot near and in my friend’s house. This was one of my favorite films to shoot.

7. Do you do anything special to watch your projects when they are released?
I haven’t watched many of my projects, although occasionally a commercial would pop up. When they are released, though, my parents and I go out for dinner usually.

8. How do you support your younger siblings with their acting? Do you give them any advice?
Supporting my younger siblings in their acting involves offering advice and sharing experiences. I encourage them to stay dedicated and resilient but don’t forget to enjoy the process.

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?
I’ve been fortunate to work with many talented individuals. Although not have one favorite person in particular, my favorite cast was on the set of Toyota. Everybody had a great sense of humor and very interesting backstories.

10. What are your career goals for 2024?
My career goals for 2024 include taking on more challenging roles, doing well in school keeping my GPA steady, and possibly exploring more career paths in the industry.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
As for anything else to add, I’d say that each project brings its own set of lessons and memories, and I’m grateful for the opportunities to grow as an actor.
