Henry Samiri plays the role of Douglas Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. This year he has been seen in an episode of CSI: Vegas, been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award, and played the role of Jasper in the Freeform series The Watchful Eye.

1. How did you enjoy being a part of the 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards?
It was a blast! I’m so thankful to be nominated. My dream is to one day win. I’m also very proud of Eden McCoy. She is the nicest person.

2. What was your experience like filming CSI: Vegas?
So fun! I got to do my first water scene which was the best. The water was super warm and it was fun to pretend I was drowning. I also got to meet and work with Ariana Guerra who used to work with Mariel Molino – my nanny on the watchful eye

3. What was the best part about getting to travel to Canada to film The Watchful Eye?
The best part was getting to live in a high rise in the city and do so many outdoor activities. There was nature park right behind our set and we could walk over there and feed all the birds and ducks and geese. The geese were a little scary because they were almost as tall as me and they would chase me for the food I was holding.

4. How was your character Jasper different than your portrayal of Douglas? Alike?
They are alike because both characters are dealing with the death of their mom. Jasper was a much more reserved character because he was older when his mom died. He also had to get used to people who were not his family and the family he did have weren’t as nice and loving as the Forrester’s on B&B.

5. Do you have a favorite scene you filmed for the show?
The episode where Mariel and I were walking down the sidewalk talking. I think that was episode 5. That was fun episode. I also really loved doing the episode when I run into the street and almost get hit by a car. One day I want to do my own stunts.

6. What was your first day back at The Bold and the Beautiful like?
It was absolutely the best!! Especially since I had been recast over the summer. We weren’t sure if they would take me back because of my schedule, so when we got the call I that I got my job back, I was jumping around my kitchen with excitement. When I got to set I couldn’t wait to hug everyone and do scenes with everyone again. It was so great that the the writers gave me material that led to me being nominated for an Emmy!

7. How did you enjoy getting to sing along side the cast during the Christmas 2022 episode?
I loved it! I got to play the piano with Eric which was really fun since I don’t get to play for too many people so a lot of people don’t realize I can actually play. aI play the drums and sing along with my sister a lot who is a singer. It was fun since it is something I love to do anyway.

8. How has your relationship with Matthew Atkinson developed over your time working together as father and son?
We just know each other so well. I understand him and he understands me. We are very comfortable with each and we have a lot of fun together, so we are able to use that to our advantage in our scenes and make everything hopefully feel real.

9. Is there anyone in the cast you would like to do more scenes with?
I really enjoyed getting to do scenes with Jacquie. She is fun to work with. Thorsten is also fun and silly so I like getting to do scenes with him too.

10. What has been your favorite episode to do this year?
Actually my favorite episode was when I got to fix Annika and Matthew – Hope and Thomas – dinner. It was fun being the server and I got to eat the food.
