Star-Kidz

Easton Rocket Sweda plays the role of Leo Falconeri on General Hospital. He has been seen in several episodes this year and attended his first fan club weekend. This year Easton has also been seen in stores for Old Navy and is awaiting the upcoming release of his film The Present.

1. What do you enjoy about doing print work? How is your work day similar/different than an acting shoot?
I really enjoy seeing my modeling friends and going to new locations. Both can be long days, but I always have fun. I don’t have to memorize lines for a modeling shoot. I enjoy modeling but I prefer acting on General Hospital.

2. How did you react to seeing your posters up in Old Navy?
I have been in other stores before and I always think it’s cool but my family LOVES it and makes a big deal about it.

3. Is there anything you share about your role in The Present?
I don’t know how much I can give away, but I can tell you that my character is also autistic and he’s pretty cool. He’s not that talkative, though.

4. What was your experience like attending the General Hospital Fan Club Weekend?
I had fun hanging out with my GH friends. The event was awesome and sometimes I needed to take breaks, but I really enjoyed meeting fans of General Hospital. They were all so amazing and sweet. I hugged and took pictures with a lot of them. At the end of the day, my friends and I rode the hotel’s glass elevator. It was scary and fun!

5. Do you get recognized in public at all for playing Leo? If so, what is your most memorable fan encounter so far?
Yes! I have been recognized many, many times. One memorable time was when I was in Flagstaff this summer and as I was walking down the street, a nice lady came running out of a restaurant. She knew I was Leo! We went into the restaurant to meet and talk with her and her friends. We had another encounter in Las Vegas. A really sweet woman working at the hotel where we were staying recognized me. I was really surprised! It never gets old!

6. What has it been like getting to work with Rena Sofer?
She’s GREAT! She has a great personality and she’s really fun.

7. Did you do anything special to remember all of those math facts when filming the Leo and Lois math challenge scenes?
No, I practiced them just like I do with my lines. I also rehearsed with Rena before going up to the stage to film the scenes.

8. What is the best part of filming scenes with Amanda Setton and Josh Swickard?
I love to talk with Amanda and give her hugs. She’s a really good actor. Chase is too! I like to call him Chase Bank.

9. If you could choose the next storyline for Leo, what would it be and why?
I think Leo should learn piano because I’m learning it in real life. Leo should become a scientist and make more potions like the Sicilian Thunderbolt. I also want Leo to have a bunch of pets and friends, just not a girlfriend.

10. What has been your favorite episode to work on this past year?
My favorite episode to work on this year was the math-off with Lois. It was a really cool game and we had fun. I got to wear an Albert Einstein costume which was cool but I didn’t like wearing the wig. I have sensory issues and it didn’t feel good on. The costume looked cool, though! I looked just like him!

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I hope everyone has a great holiday and a great 2024! Thank you, Lisa!!
