2021 – Luke and Ryan Dodge

Luke and Ryan Dodge are young actors from Los Angeles who have been seen in commercials, on Chicken Girls, and in films such as Deadwood. Ryan has recently been working on the film Karaganda, and both shot for the ice cream place Atomic Creamery!

1. Luke, what was your time on set like filming Chicken Girls?
Filming Chicken Girls was SO fun. The cast is super fun and great to be around and I got to become good friends with Trinity Valenzuela who plays Young Rhyme in the series.

2. What was the experience like filming Deadwood?
Deadwood was hard work but it was a great film and awesome experience. Tim Olyphant was the best and made me feel at home playing my dad. The first AD Kenny Roth let me call people to set and call out “Picture’s up” a few times as well. My sisters on the movie became great friends and I miss them.

3. How did you enjoy being a part of a set that looks and feels like another time period?
The clothes for Deadwood were itchy but it was cool to be part of an older movie. The set and costumes were amazing. We weren’t allowed to be really close to the horses but they were cool as well.

4. What do you like the most about working on commercials?
Commercials are fun as it is all about your facial expressions. They are hard to book but when you do, they are super rewarding.

5. Ryan, what was the best part of working for Atomic Creamery?
I LOVE working for Atomic Creamery. It is so close to the house and they make the best ice cream. I could eat it every day. The photographers and the owners of the store are so fun and nice.

6. What is the funniest thing you have done for an audition?
Auditions can be super fun. I love when I get to do comedy and dress up like an adult; mostly because adults are silly.

7. How did you react when you found out you booked Karaganda?
I was so happy that I cried when I booked Karaganda. I’ve been working and auditioning so hard and I was so happy when my manager called and said that I booked it!

8. Is there anything you can share about your role in the film?
In Karaganda, I play the son of a Russian mafia head.

9. Do either of you have a preference in working together sharing a role or separate?
I like to work alone as opposed to sharing a role. Now that we are older, roles are usually not shared anyway. It would be fun to work together as brothers for a role though.

10. What has been your favorite project to be a part of?
My favorite project was definitely Karaganda. The cast and crew were amazing and I miss being on set with them.
