Jophielle Love plays the role of Violet on General Hospital. This year Violet has been busy navigating weddings, family relationships, and more. Recently, Jophielle has been spotted on packaging for Jakks Pacific’s Frozen line and worked on a film!
1. What was your time on set like shooting for Jakks Pacific?
That was a while back . I remember that it was harder than I thought to have to pose for so many pictures and it was a very precise shoot. I had to listen carefully and not move too much. I had to hold still for a long time. I think acting is more fun. I was very tired at the end of the day.
2. How did it feel seeing your photos on the toy boxes for the first time?
It was so long after the photoshoot that I had forgotten all about it, so when I walk onto the toys in Target, I had no idea and didn’t realize I was on the box! It was so weird seeing myself on the box, but I think I was actually more excited to ask my mom for the toy. My mom actually filmed the whole thing. You can see it on YouTube titled: Jophielle Love gets surprised in Target
3. What do you like the most about modeling?
I like dressing up , and I like makeup…actually I like putting makeup on people even more. I haven’t done a lot of modeling jobs but I think it is fun to act like a princess. I could imagine doing more.
4. Did you have something you were looking forward to doing the most when you returned to the General Hospital set after the shutdown?
The shutdown was so long, but it was magical to me because I got to spend 7 months at my house in France, in nature, with no TV and no masks so it was a special time for me. We spent our time making fun videos with my brothers. We called them HighLife, you can also see them on YouTube or our IGTV. Coming back to General Hospital was easy, although it was very strange having to wear mask all the time. I was lucky to even be on set as not many children got allowed back on set right away.
5. What was the experience like working on the Violet’s birthday party scenes?
So fun…everyone was there and I got to hang out with so many of the kids! It’s not so often that we have big scenes like these, so it’s always great to meet everyone. Also…there was a snake on set that day!
6. How have you enjoyed working with Enzo De Angelis? What is the best part about working with other kids on set?
Well it is fun to have a brother on set…I get to spend time with Enzo a lot now. I love this because I am Finn’s only daughter and so I don’t have a lot of scenes with other kids. Enzo is super nice and we got along right away! We get to spend school time together too. I love to play games with him. I hope for Finn and Elizabeth to be dating for a long time in the show!
7. What do you like the most about filming with Josh Swickard?
Josh is my uncle in the show and he really feels like a real uncle. He reminds me of my real uncles Damien and Satya. It’s easy to goof around with all of them.
8. How do you enjoy working with Rebecca Herbst?
I think it is funny that she is named Rebecca as well. My mom on the show is also Rebecca, she is the sister of Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst)…they look alike and they are very similar in so many ways. The situation is a classic soap one…my dad is now starting to date my mom’s sister!!! My bet is that my mom will come back just in time to interrupt her sister’s wedding! I love it! Rebecca is very nice. I was just watching a recap of General Hospital’s past 50 years and realized that a lot of the actors from the show have been in it for so many years! Some for more than 30 years! MAYBE I will get to be in it for a long time too! We will see, it is pretty rare for a kid though.
9. Do you have a favorite scene you’ve been a part of?
Well, I must say, I really loved the scenes at the beginning when my mom and dad were together. I know it is not the real life but I just liked having both of them together…plus I really get along with both of them.
