2021 – Harper and Scarlett Bloom

Harper and Scarlett Bloom portrayed the role of Louise Jones/Bailey Quartermaine on General Hospital. The girls have also been seen in a commercial for Jimmy Johns and have some more projects coming in the next year.

1. How did Harper and Scarlett get into the business?
We posted a picture of us 4 for the girls’ first Easter and our agent randomly reached out to us! Totally meant to be. We booked GH a couple days after that!

2. What was their time on set like filming their Jimmy John’s commercial?
Jimmy John’s was a lot of fun because we were really able to interact with the girls in the scene. There was one point where we were shaking their favorite toy right above the camera to get them to look at it and they gave us a huge smile, which was just gold!

3. How did your family react when you heard the girls booked General Hospital?
Our families were SO excited! Both of the girls’ grandmas have watched GH since they were teenagers and are big fans of the show. They caught us up on the story line so that we could watch and now we are huge fans of the show too!

4. What was their first day on set like?
We didn’t know anything beforehand about what being on set would feel like. We were a little nervous of the unknown but we were just greeted with the sweetest people. One of us always stayed in the green room with one baby while the other is filming on set. Other GH cast and crew would come in to get coffee or snacks and introduce themselves. Literally every person there is kind and it is such a warm, loving environment. We were so lucky to be a part of it.

5. Who was the first cast member you and the girls met?
The first cast member we all met was Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). She came into the green room to get a snack while we were waiting to go to set. She was gushing over our girls and was so friendly! It was a great way to start off our first day.

6. What was it like for Harper and Scarlett to film with Amanda Setton?
Amanda is AMAZING. The girls absolutely loved her. She is a mom, herself, so she knows exactly how to handle a baby and it showed. She is such a genuine, caring person and we really can’t say enough great things about her. In between scenes, she would always make sure to wave at us or give us a smile, which just showed how she wanted us to feel comfortable. She also always wanted to know which baby she had at each time so that she could get to know them as individual people, instead of just “the twins”. We love Amanda!!

7. What was the experience like filming with Kirsten Storms?
Kirsten is amazing and she is such a great actress! The first scene that the girls had with her was when she was crying in her hospital room. You could feel the emotion from a mile away and it felt very real. She stayed in character and it was truly amazing to watch. When we talked with her after, we bonded over the fact that we both have girls named Harper Rose! Such a funny coincidence! With her also being a mom, she was so great with the girls and it was an absolute pleasure to work with her.

8. When filming the episode where Chase sings to Bailey, what were your first thoughts on the scene and what was working with Josh Swickard like?
We didn’t know what the scene was going to be like ahead of time but we met Josh in the green room shortly before the scene. He is one of the most friendly and outgoing people we have ever met. We got to talking about his daughter and how the girls are very close in age to her. He was a total pro with the girls during their scene with him and we think he was an amazing singer too!

9. How did you spend your time backstage between scenes?
We spent most of our time backstage in the green room where they had the best coffee ever! People would come in and out so it was a great place to meet everyone. Every single person that we met was friendly. It’s really one big family at GH filled with amazing people.

10. Do you have a favorite scene Harper and Scarlett filmed for the soap?
One of our favorite scenes is an early one where Scarlett is in the car seat with Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Scarlett is just completely asleep. Everyone was telling us how she just looked like a doll and people who watched the show didn’t believe she was a real baby.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
It was also such a pleasure working with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). He was always joking around and keeping spirits high in between scenes. The girls absolutely loved him too!
We also can’t wait to share 2 new projects that the girls have worked on recently!!!
