2021 – Gable Swanlund

Gable Swanlund played the role of Young Alexis on General Hospital. She has also been seen on The Shrink Next Door and catch her next year in Echoes!

1. How did you get into acting?
I got into acting as a toddler. I started out modeling and booked my first national commercial at 4 years old. It was for Blue Bunny ice cream. I think I ate a gallon of ice cream on the shoot day.

2. What was your time on set like filming with Kristen Bell for La-Z-Boy?
Kristen Bell was a dream. I was probably more nervous to meet her than any other celebrity I have ever worked with because I am a big fan of The Good Place. But she put me at ease immediately.

3. What was your experience like working on The Shrink Next Door?
The Shrink Next Door will always be special to me because my TV siblings @richardisthecoolest and #leebachrach became very close friends.

4. How did you enjoy working with Will Farrell? / 5. Do you have a favorite episode/scene you filmed?
Will Ferrell is lovely! And he shared a lot of interesting behind the scenes Elf scoop with us. Our scene in the finale (on Apple+) was by far my favorite. You’ll see why!

6. What was the casting process like for General Hospital?
The casting process over at GH was enjoyable. Mark Teschner and Lisa Booth and the rest of the casting team have so much respect for actors. It was an honor to work on such a legendary show.

7. How did you react when you booked it? / 8. How did you prepare for the role of Young Alexis? / 9. What did you enjoy the most about working with Nancy Lee Grahn?
I was ecstatic when I booked it! It was a very emotional scene to film, but having Ms Nancy Lee Grahn as a scene partner was a gift. She and the director, Mr. Phideaux Xavier (isn’t that the BEST name ever?!) made me very comfortable.

10. Is there anything you can share about your role in Echoes?
Echoes is going to be a wild ride! It’s Southern and gothic and really intense. Honored and grateful to be a part of it.
