2021 – Devin Weaver

Devin Weaver is the older sister of TK Weaver who played Danny on General Hospital. Devin has been seen on shows including Criminal Minds and Jimmy Kimmel Live. More recently she has been seen in a music video for Blink-182 and reprised her role on American Housewife for one more episode before the series finale.

1. What do you like about acting the most?
I like becoming someone else.

2. Do you have any special techniques to make each character you play different then the previous one you have done?
I actually like to bring a little of myself to my characters if possible. Becky Granville was supposed to be totally different then I made her but American Housewife let me make her the way I wanted and I loved her.

3. What was the experience like filming a music video for Blink-182?
OMG it was AMAZING!! I had no idea what to expect and they were so fun. It was was cool.

4. What inspired you to start your own YouTube channel?
Well, I started a TikTok in 2020 that was doing really well. I thought TikTok was going to get banned so I directed my fans to a YouTube channel that I created. Then TikTok banned me for being too young which was totally unfair because my content was totally PG. Oh well. I have a new secret account now with more followers that I’m messing around with until I’m older.

5. How do you choose what to do for each video?
Well I had a lot of people asking me to do things on my TikTok acct so I tried to do what they were asking for.

6. How did you react when you were asked back for another episode of American Housewife?
I was thrilled. They are so nice to me there. Honestly they treated me like family. Like I was always on. So nice.

7. What was the experience like filming on their set with the pandemic protocols?
Oh it was fine. It’s really not a big deal. I’m used to the masks and social distancing and Covid testing. It’s easy and it makes you feel really safe.

8. How has Becky changed over the course of your episodes?
As I said above, they let me make Becky quirky and mostly nice. Originally she was supposed to be kind of a spoiled brat but she was really misunderstood and had shallow parents. So I felt sorry for Becky and made her sweeter. It was so fun helping her to develop. I felt she was a bit like Karen in Mean Girls. Or Ariana Grande in Victorious. She was overall sweet.

9. How did you enjoy filming with Giselle Eisenberg?
She is really nice.

10. What are your career goals for 2022?
Honestly I don’t know. I love working but school is really important to me as well. I go to a tough arts school and I don’t like to miss school. I guess we will have to wait to see together because I honestly don’t know.
