Star-Kidz

Sydney Brower is the new Arianna Horton on Days of Our Lives and will make her on screen debut this holiday season. She has been seen on Teachers, Criminal Minds and has a recurring role on the ABC comedy American Housewife!

1. What has the experience been like playing Penny on American Housewife?
So much fun! I get to play myself for this character.

2. Do you have a favorite episode you have done for the show?
Yes! It was called “Locked in the basement.” Throughout the episode Anna-Kat and Penny try to get their moms to stop being enemies and get along so we can have playdates. I was fun to be on set all week with my real life bestie Julia Butters.

3. What was the best part of working on your episode of Teachers?
I had to pretend I cut my finger and scream for the episode. I was so fun to have the makeup department work their magic on my finger!

4. What was your time on set like filming Klaus?
So cool! This was my first VO booking, so it was all a new experience. My director Sergio Pablos was on the TV skyping in from Spain.

5. What was it like going to the Klaus premiere?
It was my first premiere and was a dream come true! It was so fun to be able to meet so many of my talented co-stars. The event was so kid friendly with fun activities, food and photo opportunities and of course watching the movie!

6. How did you react when you heard you booked Days of Our Lives?
My manager called to tell me the good news I was like ahhhh and jumping around! So excited!

7. What was your first day on set like?
I was in the hair and makeup chair and Diedre Hall was in there and says, “Hello I play your great grandmother.” She was so sweet to me and made me feel so welcomed!

8. What is it like working with Freddie Smith?
He’s so nice and always in a good mood! The other day he asked me “If It’s starting to feel like home at Days yet.”

9. If you could film a project anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
London! I have been working on my British accent so it would be so fun to listen to them speak and be able to explore all the history there.

10. What has been your favorite project to work on so far?
I don’t know if I can pick one. I love all the projects I’ve been on and meeting new people and playing different characters. Each job is a new experience with learning opportunities.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
Thank you for having me on the Q&A. I look forward to you all seeing my first episode of Days of Our Lives airing in late December. I hope you all have a blessed Christmas season!
