Patrick Gibbons Jr. played the role of Sam Manning on One Life to Live. This year he was brought back to General Hospital as Wyatt Hoover after making his first appearance on the soap last year. This time around he did two episodes as Wyatt was in the hospital for surgery.
1. How did you like getting to do another GH stint?
I loved it, I had a blast. To have the opportunity to go out to California and do the thing I love to do, really makes me happy. I feel like the luckiest kid on the planet.
2. What is the coolest thing about playing Wyatt?
The coolest thing is that my mom on the show is my mom in real life! We received a text when we were relaxing this summer from the exec producer asking if my mom would play Wyatt’s mom, we were all in shock and so proud of her. She did great.
3. What was the best part of working alongside your Mom this time?
The best part was being able to teach her what I love doing. She learned what it was like to do what I do and I loved that.
4. Did you give her any advice before you two went out to film your scene together?
Yes, I told her not to get stressed because if you mess up nobody will laugh at you or judge you. You are officially a pro and think of it that way.
5. How did you enjoy working with Katelyn MacMullen?
It was great. She was so nice to me she treated me like she knew me for my whole life. I felt so welcomed. She is also a great actor and I learned a lot from her.
6. What was it like getting to work with Wes Ramsey again?
It was amazing. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He is such a great actor and I’m very lucky to have acted with him. I learned so much from him.
7. How excited were you to get to catch up and film with Michael Easton again for a little OLTL reunion and did you get to see Roger off set too?
It was great to get back with Michael. He is always so nice to me. We love talking about the memories on OLTL. I did see Roger off the set. We were talking for a while. The chemistry never leaves from our OLTL days. It’s always great to see him and I loved working with him on OLTL through the years and again at General Hospital last year.
8. How did you enjoy attending last year’s Christmas party for General Hospital and who were some of your favorite people you got to meet?
I loved it! We were in heaven with the food. Everyone we met was so nice. I was able to meet most of the cast and I loved every minute of it.
9. Have your friends checked out your scenes when you’re on? What do they think?
Oh, they watch it all the time in school and they love it. They can’t believe that I’m actually on TV. A lot of my friends text me right after they watch it and say I’m started to get addicted to the show.
10. What else have you been up to this year?
This year I just started high school. I’m enjoying every minute of it. It is flying by I can’t believe it is already December. I have made lots of friends and have joined many clubs. I love it.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I look forward to my career ahead of me. I cannot wait to see the opportunities that pop up soon. It is great to be an actor it is my favorite thing to do.
