2019 – Mason McNulty

Mason McNulty played Nicole’s Dream Son on Days of Our Lives way back in 2012. This year he has been busy with Pen15, 12 Pups of Christmas and has a recurring role in the ABC comedy Schooled!

1. What advice would you give to anyone wanting to get into acting?
The best advice I have for anyone who wants to get into acting is study the craft and be consistent. Be sure you have a family who is supportive of your dreams. And you will be “GOLDEN”!

2. What was the experience like working on your episode of PEN15?
It was super fun. Anna Konkle and Maya Erskine had all of us laughing the whole time.

3.How did you enjoy attending the premiere for VHYES?
I really enjoyed it. The premiere took us to Austin Texas and I was my first time going there. It was also the first time I got to see VHYES. And I really liked it.

4. What was your time on set like working on Assimilate?
Assimilate was “AMAZING”. It was my first time traveling out of state to film a movie. It was filmed in Mississippi. I also got to work with some ”AWESOME” actors such as Calum Worthy, Joel Courtney and the beautiful Andi Matichak.

5. How did you react when you heard you booked Schooled?
Oh my gosh…I was jumping up and down. I was so excited. I absolutely love playing Toby Murphy. Toby is a really fun character to play.

6. Did you have to learn to play football to play the role?
I learned to play football the day we filmed the episode. The show hired an actual football coach who taught me the real way to throw a football and what some of the plays are.

7. What do you like most about working with Bryan Callen?
Whats not to like…Bryan is absolutely “HILARIOUS”. We always have each other cracking up.

8. How do you enjoy filming with Valerie Azlynn?
Valerie Azlynn has to be one of the most genuine, caring and sweetest people I have ever worked with. She is like my second mom (no pun intended…LOL)!

9. Do you have a favorite scene you worked on for the show?
That’s a really hard one. I love all my scenes on Schooled. I also love the hidden messages of love, family and life in every episode.

10. Can you tell us anything about your character in 12 Pups of Christmas?
My character is the flashback/younger version of Martin who is the main character.
