Lucas Broitman played a young Franco on General Hospital last year. This year he has been busy with an episode of American Housewife, multiple commercials, and more!
1. What was the experience like working on set for Birdbox?
It was a great experience because it was my first job. I didn’t know what to expect but I ended up having a lot of fun. I even had my own dressing room with my name on it.
2. What is the best part of auditioning?
I like that I get to pretend to be different characters.
3. Do you have any special tricks to help you learn your lines?
No tricks, but if I look at it and read it 5 times, I usually memorize it.
4. What was your time on set like filming your University of Phoenix commercial?
It was amazing! The cast and crew were so nice and so much fun to work with. I was sad and missed everyone after it was over. I was asked to stay upstairs after my last shot just before we wrapped, when I came back downstairs, everyone clapped and cheered for me! That made me feel really good!
5. How much fun was it getting to play with toys for your Jakks Pacific commercial?
Super fun! Gigantosaurus is one of my favorite shows and I was so happy I booked the commercial!
6. What did you like the most about filming your commercial for Geico?
We got to act really silly! We shot the commercial on my birthday and after we finished filming, they brought out a cupcake with a lit candle and sang Happy Birthday to me! It was so nice and surprising. They also had a cupcake for Cade. Cade was really fun to work with and he’s so nice!
7. How did you like working on American Housewife?
I loved it! It was so much fun and my mom even knew one of the producers. She went to college with him but hadn’t seen him since then. My mom said it’s a small world!
8. What was it like to film with Katy Mixon and Alessandra Ambrosio?
They were very nice and I feel very lucky to have worked with them.
9. How did you react to seeing your scenes air on television?
I was proud of myself but even more then seeing myself on TV, I have the best time doing it and hope that I get to do this kind of work for a long, long time.
10. Do you have a favorite project you’ve done this year?
I loved all of them that I don’t think I could pick a favorite. I also have something new coming out but I’m not sure if I am allowed to say what it is until it comes out. It should be very soon!
