Star-Kidz

Bianca and Chiara D’Ambrosio played the role of Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless back in 2008. As actors, musicians and vloggers they have been quite busy this year working on new content and have several projects in the works for 2020 including a spin off of the online series The Bay!

1. When attending premieres and various events how do you decide on your outfits and what goes into walking the red carpet at events? Do you have any crazy stories to share?

Chiara: When we decide outfits, we like to coordinate with each other. Sometimes we still like to match, but usually we will coordinate similar outfits that look great together. We love repping our favorite brands such as Prom Girl, Sherri Hill, Faviana and Free People!

Bianca: Yes, we were going to an event and my strap from my dress ripped and we had to figure a way to pin it and use my hair to cover the pin . It was crazy 🙂

2. You have been doing a lot of traveling recently, if you could film a television show or film anywhere in the world where would it be and why?

Chiara: I always love to travel and have been fortunate enough to be able to travel to many different places around the world. One of my favorite places to travel to is Italy. I would love to film a television show or a film in Italy because it’s so beautiful and the food is amazing!

Bianca: That’s a tough question because I have visited so many amazing places! I would have to say Italy. It’s my favorite place to travel with my family. We are also 100% Italian!

3. When working on Prom Girl did you get inspired by a look you may want to wear yourselves for prom?

Chiara: There was a shiny dark green dress that I wore during a photo shoot for Prom Girl. If I go to prom, I will definitely wear that type of dress.

Bianca: Prom girl has so many amazing selections. When we did our photo shoot I was fortunate enough to try on a variety of different types of dresses. I will totally be shopping at Prom Girl for prom when that time comes!

4. You have been acting most of your lives and worked on many projects together, growing up did you ever switch places on set or pull any other pranks as twins on cast or crew?

Chiara: Since we are working we do not do pranks with crew or cast. We did do that in school when we were in regular school.

Bianca: Yes, I pretended to be Chiara when she was home sick.

5. If you could go back and give yourselves a piece of advice when first starting out with your music, what would that advice be?

Chiara: I would tell myself to keep practicing and stay motivated. Practice really does make perfect, especially when it comes to learning instruments.

Bianca: Always stay true to yourself and never let anything or anyone stop you from moving forward and pursuing your dreams.

6. Who’s idea was it to do an episode of your web series at DK’s Donuts and make donuts? Was it easier or more challenging to do than you thought it would be?

Bianca: I met the owner of DK’s donuts at Instabeach during the summer. She is such a sweetheart and we all came up with the idea to do a collaboration in her donut shop.

Chiara: When we went into the shop she showed us all the amazing donut flavors they make everyday! It’s a lot of hard work and we were so fortunate that she took us behind the scenes to show us the process. It was so much fun decorating the donuts .Bianca – The hardest part of making the donuts is choosing what flavors go well with each other and what flavors don’t.

7. What advice do you have to anyone interested in growing their social media presence and creating content?

Chiara: Always think outside the box and give your followers unique content!

Bianca: Engagement! Make sure you talk to your followers, ask questions, post polls and quizzes, and most likely be yourself and have fun!

8. You have a lot of different projects in the works right now, how do you balance acting with your music, social media content, and everything else you enjoy doing?

Chiara: Because we are homeschooled, we always are flexible with our schedule. Whenever we aren’t acting, we make time for school, tennis, swimming, and hanging out with our friends.

Bianca: We are fortunate enough to have a great support system and team helping us balance everything, but we make sure we always make time for school, working out, and relaxing. Mental health is very important!!

9. Speaking of those projects in the works, are there any details about them you are able to share?

Chiara and Bianca: We were very excited to announce our new show “yA”! It’s a spin off of emmy award winning show ‘The Bay’ on Amazon. We’ve been working very hard on this project and met a lot of amazing people in the process! We also just wrapped working on ‘Slapface’ with August Maturo, Mirabelle Lee and ‘Fear of Rain’ with Harry Connick Jr and Katherine Heigl. We are so excited to see all these projects come together for a final product.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Chiara: You can go check us out on socials to stay up to date with us and updates on the “yA” on our instagram @dambrosiotwins. Also we have individual accounts @therealchiarad and @therealbiancad!
