2018 – Quinn Friedman

Quinn Friedman played the role of Alec Barrett on General Hospital. This year he has been seen on All About the Washingtons, in a video for Nintendo, and more!

1. What was your experience like filming your Nintendo Switch video?
It was really awesome! I got to meet a lot of kid-actors, and I got to try out the Nintendo Switch. It was a great experience.

2. How hard is it to react to situations that you can’t actually see as they get added later in special effects?
It’s pretty easy actually. While filming these types of scenes, I imagine what it is supposed to happen in my head. It helps me “live” the scene better.

3. What is it like working with a lot of other kids while filming for Teachers?
It was great. I met a lot of new friends, met such amazing actors and actresses, and I got to improv during the scene a lot.

4. What was your time on set like filming your episode of All About the Washingtons?
It was very fun. The best part for me was on the second day of filming, where my Grandpa took me to set. He usually doesn’t take me or my siblings to work, so it was an awesome experience showing him around.

5. Do you have a favorite episode of The Science KID you have done this year?
My favorite episode of The Science KID that I have done this year, was the episode on Spacesuits. It’s such an incredible topic, and I loved learning about all the different technology astronauts use on a daily basis.

6. What has been your most challenging episode to film for your web series so far?
None of them were too hard to film or edit, but the Periodic Table episode was a little hard to understand. There are A LOT of elements; however, it was really fun to learn about.

7. How did you enjoy working on a video for Love Ghost?
It was fun. I got to wear an Abraham Lincoln costume, and I had to act like the tall president himself.

8. What went into getting ready in your costume for the shoot?
Nothing really, just a suit, beard, hat, and a watch. You know… what all 13 year old kids wear.

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with this year?
Every project I’ve worked on this year has been so fun, so I can’t pick actual individual people. I’ve met too many great actors to choose.

10. What else have you been up to this year?
Besides acting, I’m really close to my black belt in karate, plus I’ve been working on my swimming tactics. And of course like any other kid I love video games!
