Max Matenko played the role of Leo Falconeri on General Hospital. He has been seen on This Is Us and recently filmed a commercial for Cox Communications!
1. What was your time on set like filming This Is Us?
I was only three years old when I worked on This Is Us, and it was my first acting job. I was really excited, and the director was really nice, and everybody made me feel like I did a very good job.
2. How did you enjoy filming your Cox Communications commercial?
I had so much fun on the Cox Communications commercial. I got to wear a really cool superhero cape and yellow boots, and I got to say my lines in different ways. The people who played my parents were really nice.
3. Have you ever had a chance to work with your sister? Would you like to in the future?
I have auditioned with my sister for some commercials, and we’ve gotten callbacks together, but we haven’t worked together. I would love to work with Ruby, it would be so much fun.
4. How do you prepare for your auditions?
When I have to get ready for an audition, sometimes my mommy and sometimes my sister go over my lines with me to help me learn them, and then we practice them together.
5. How did you react when you heard you booked General Hospital?
When I found out I got the role on General Hospital, I was so excited, I was jumping up and down and screaming and laughing.
6. What was your first day on set like?
My first day on set was amazing. I met a lot of different people, and everyone was so nice. I was nervous to remember my lines, but I remembered them, and everyone kept telling me I was doing a really good job. I loved filming inside the studio, I thought the sets were really cool.
7. How did you enjoy working with William DeVry?
William plays my daddy, and we had a really good time together, he was so nice to me, and he is such a good actor.
8. What was the best part of filming with Lisa LoCicero?
Lisa plays my mommy, and I had my first scenes with her, and she made me feel very comfortable. She was very nice, and is a really good actor, too.
9. How did you like working with Matt Cohen?
I liked working with Matt because he is so nice and so friendly. He played the doctor who helped me when I fell catching butterflies (in the scene, not real life). He was so good, I felt like he was a real doctor.
10. Do you have a favorite episode you got to film?
My favorite episode was the one I did when my dad took me to the park and I was chasing butterflies. I had a lot of scenes and lines to remember, and, it was a lot of fun. The director was really nice.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I wanted to start acting because I saw my sister Ruby doing it, and it looked like fun, so I wanted to try it. Sometimes, I get nervous when I think I will forget my lines, but, if I practice them a lot, I remember them, and, it’s so much fun!
