Mason McNulty played Nicole’s Dream Son on Days of Our Lives in 2012. This year he has been busy working on short films, doing live performances and more!
1. What was your time on set like filming Misunderstood?
My time on set for Misunderstood was so fun. I loved playing a zombie.
2. How did you like playing a zombie?
Playing a zombie is super fun. I get to be something that isn’t real.
3. Do you have a special process at looking through your script for the first time?
When I get a script I just start reading it over and over until I have it in my brain. It doesn’t take me very long to memorize a script as I have been working that muscle since I was really young.
4. How did you enjoy getting to perform live at the Norco Fair?
Next to acting, my next favorite thing to do is sing. And singing in the Norco Fair was so fun. My partner and I won our age category this past year.
5. What has been the funniest thing you’ve gotten to do during an audition?
The funniest thing I have gotten to do durning an audition is dance. The reason it is so funny is because I am not a dancer.
6. What was the best part of working on It’s a Date?
The best part of working on “It’s A Date” was playing a part of the angry side of a boys feelings. I got to act out some really fun parts I have always wanted to do. When thinking of this short film think of “Inside Out!”
7. Do you have a favorite thing about filming short films at Gray Studios?
The best part of Gray Studio’s Make A Movie Camps is getting to hang out with all my friends.
8. What has been the best advice you’ve gotten on set?
The best advise I have gotten on set was “Don’t let anything stop you!” That advise came from the director Jack Henry Robbins on my latest project I just finished. VHYes!
9. Can you tell us anything about your upcoming film Replicate?
I filmed Replicate 2 years ago in Mississippi. It is a Sci-Fi/Horror film that is kind of like Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It was really fun to film as well. It has a great cast. I can’t wait to see it and I hope you all like it.
10. What else have you been up to this year?
I worked on a feature film called VHYes, I also just did a music video and really worked hard in school.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Thank you so much for including me in the Christmas Q&A. I have really enjoyed my journey so far and can not wait to see where my future takes me!
