2018 – Hudson West

Hudson West plays the role of Jake Webber on General Hospital. This year he has also been seen on I’m Dying Up Here, Teachers, and was a competitor on Dancing with the Stars Juniors!

1. What was your time on set like filming I’m Dying Up Here?
I had an awesome time filming I’m Dying Up Here .I actually got to work with someone I worked with on Teachers! All of the cast & crew were super nice to me.

2. How did you enjoy working with Maya Rudolph and Fred Armisen on Forever?
I loved working with both of them. It was an honor to meet them and work with them. They are very funny and their acting is phenomenal .

3. What was it like to compete on Dancing with the Stars Juniors?
DWTSJR was the best experience I’ve ever had in my life!! I learned to dance, met lots of new people and I really had a blast!

4. How did you enjoy working with your dance partner Kameron?
I loved working with Kameron. She is a very talented dancer and she really helped me learn to dance, which was a challenge because I’ve never danced a day in my life. She had a lot of work to do. :-). She is very sweet and patient. She is an awesome person!

5. Do you have a favorite dance you got to perform?
My favorite dance was the Cha Cha with the fox trot coming in a close second. Maybe because it was my first dance, I’m not sure but I liked it the best.

6. What was the process like learning new dances for the show?
Every dance is extremely different, so it was a challenge for me. And we had to learn dances way ahead of time because we never knew if we were going home or not. And sometimes we had performances back to back so I was learning 4 dances at a time. Very hard for me since I had no dance experience at all.

7. How did you react to finding out you were nominated for a Daytime Emmy and what was the experience like attending the awards?
Actually I was shocked, but I was super excited!! Once it all set in, I was extremely blessed. Going to the Emmys was a phenomenal experience. One I will never forget. I was up against, basically, adults so I was pretty nervous going to the actual awards ceremony. I was the only kid there!!

8. What is your favorite thing about working with Becky Herbst & Roger Howarth? What have they taught you about acting?
I think I have great chemistry with Becky and Roger. I love working with them!! I think they’ve taught me to always have FUN at work!

9. How do you enjoy filming with Steve Burton?
I love working with Steve Burton!! He’s very talented, very outgoing and supportive . That helps because it helps give you confidence and it’s important to believe you can do something.

10. What is your favorite scene/episode you have done this year?
My favorite GH scene was probably the episode when Steve & I tried to go to the ballgame. It was a great father, son bonding moment. I invited Billy too so it was fun to have both of my dads there!

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I would just like to add that this has been a phenomenal year for me. I am so blessed for all of the opportunities that were presented to me. I am looking forward to what next year has for me. I am hoping good luck comes my way. Thank you for taking the time to read my answers! 🙂
