Gia Poeme played the role of Bella Fisher on The Young and the Restless. This year she has also been seen on 9-1-1 and in a shoot for Little Tikes!
1. How does Gia prepare for auditions?
We mix it up depending on the role. Like one time we played Candy Land while running lines – which was super fun and started a Candy Land obsession in our house!
2. What was the best part for Gia to shoot for Little Tikes?
She had soo much fun playing basketball with the other kids! It was so authentic – it was really cool to see!
3. What was her time on set like filming 9-1-1?
The crew was so incredible ! At the end of the shoot, Gia asked if she could ride the merry go round that she had been watching run all evening during her shoot. Even though they had already closed it down, they started it up for her and cheered for her as she was on the ride. It made her feel so appreciated!
4. How hard was it to work in the claw machine?
Gia was a trooper, she would come in and out. It was like a cozy little nook full of stuffed toys – kind of kid paradise 🤣.
5. What was it like shooting for La Miniatura?
We love love La Miniatura so doing a shoot wearing the clothes was just awesome. The owner is literally the most stylish woman I know, and a Mom. The photographer was also a dream to work with and really made everyone feel so comfortable and happy – it really shows in the pictures!
6. Do you still have contact with Elizabeth Hendrickson and/or Greg Rikaart? Or anybody from The Young and The Restless?
Greg and Gia follow each other on twitter so we get to see what he’s up to!
7. What was the best part of filming with Kate Linder?
Kate was so protective and nurturing- that care really came through in the scenes they did together. Kate is such a power house! We love to see all the awesome projects and charities she’s constantly working with. We look forward to hopefully working with her again in the future 💗
8. How did Gia enjoy working with Judith Chapman?
She’s such an elegant woman – it was great to see the command she has of the screen.
9. What was Gia’s last day on set like?
It was emotional – for everyone. This whole story line that involved so many people for so long had finally come to a close and so it was saying farewell to this family unit that had become so familiar and comfortable.
10. What else has she been up to this year?
Besides a unwavering ghostbuster obsession Gia has been enjoying doing 4 year old things with wild abandoned ! Playing, making up songs and dances, splashing in puddles and making mud pies in her backyard.
