2018 – Dax Randall

Dax Randall played the role of Moses Winters on The Young and the Restless. This year he has been seen on The Joel McHale Show, Grey’s Anatomy, and done some print work!

1. What was your shoot for Gazillion Bubbles like?
It was really fun because there were bubbles everywhere in all shapes and sizes. My favorite thing to do was make the big, giant wobbly ones and pop them and at the end, they were SO nice and let us take a bubble maker home.

2. If you could do a project with both of your brothers what would it be?
I would REALLY love to film a bubble commercial with them and just go crazy but I’m going to say a space adventure movie where we discover a new, unique planet to explore with nice aliens, not mean ones.

3. What was your time on set like filming The Joel McHale Show?
That WAS SO fun because Joel is SO funny that it was hard not to laugh. He kept saying funny things to me in between takes and I had to be serious with this ridiculous looking toy with googly eyes on it. Joel is the best guy ever because he’s SO nice too.

4. How did you like pretending it was Christmas?
At first I thought there were going to be real presents there but there weren’t, haha. It was still fun wearing Christmas pajamas and opening the silly present for the episode.

5. How did you react when you found out you booked Grey’s Anatomy?
At first I thought my mom was kidding when she told me then I shouted and did a happy dance when she said it was for real.

6. What was your experience like filming your episode?
Everyone there were the nicest people EVER! They treated me SO good and the set was amazing. It was so much fun filming that I would love to do it again and again. Actually, I wish I could film with my brothers in Grey’s Anatomy because it was THAT great. Nicole is the greatest director ever too. She prepares everyone so well that the scenes get done without mistakes. She’s awesome.

7. How did you enjoy working with Chris Carmack?
He’s a very, very nice guy and makes it so easy to act with him. Even though he has LOTS of lines to do he still talked to me about myself when we weren’t filming I couldn’t believe he actually cut his real hair right there in front of me and everyone on set!

8. How do you prepare for your emotional scene?
I talked to my mom about it and cancer and how she would feel if that happened to me in real life. We also donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and talk about what the kids there are going through. Nicole also directed me before each scene on how she wanted me to be and sometimes new things to say.

9. What else have you been up to this year?
Being me and spending time with my family and learning new skills like piano and guitar.

10. Is there anything you can share about your upcoming episode of You’re the Worst?
Well, Lou who is in the scene with me is a really good actor because he’s nothing like the type of character he turns into so it was cool to get to experience working with an actor who had to do that.
