2018 – Caroline Ognibene

Caroline Ognibene is a young actress and model from the New York City area. Since our last Q&A with her she has been busy working for brand name companies such as The Children’s Place, GAP, and Converse. Chances are you have seen her images up in your local mall this past year too!

1. What was your time on set like shooting for Converse?
I loved shooting for Converse (although was a bit bummed as it was on my Birthday!) Everyone on set was so nice and friendly and they even brought me cupcakes! I’m a sporty girl so I love sporty clothes and sneakers so it was a perfect job!

2. Do you have a favorite memory of working for Masala Baby?
It’s always so great to work with Masala! They are so nice and treat me like a princess! I love that Elizabeth Pettey is the photographer . She’s so nice and fun and always lets me do my gymnastics!

3. How did you enjoy working for Whitlow and Hawkins?
Working for Whitlow and Hawkins was fun! It was a long day and very hot but we shot near a beautiful lake and it was so pretty and I love the dresses. Especially the one with stars on it!

4. What has been the best part of working for The Children’s Place?
The Children’s Place is one of my favorite jobs. It’s always so fun on set and the photographer Thanis is such a fun person. And I love getting manicures on set!

5. Do you have a favorite outfit you’ve done for them?
I’ve had a bunch of outfits I loved shooting at TCP as it’s one of my favorite places to shop but I think my most favorite was the emoji dress.

6. What was your time on set like shooting for GAP?
Shooting for Gap was absolutely amazing!! Stefano the photographer is so much fun and makes funny jokes. Shooting the video was so fun. We got to do the craziest stuff on all this invisible equipment like a slide, hamster wheel thingy and ladder. I got to do my gymnastics too so it was the best day. And we even had a yoga instructor to get warmed up!

7. How did you react seeing your poster in their stores for the first time?
It was my biggest poster ever and so many people around the world would tell me when they saw me in stores. It was super exciting! I’ve never seen myself so big.

8. What is similar and what is different about doing an editorial shoot vs. print shoot?
I don’t think it’s too different shooting editorial or print. Seems pretty much the same to me. The only thing is there are usually more people involved in a commercial shoot than editorial.

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with this year?
There have been so many great people we worked with this year that it’s hard to say. I loved shooting with Nick Steever as he’s so funny and fun. But every photographer I’ve worked with this year has been great so I’m lucky!

10. What has been your favorite project to work on this year?
I just did a super fun shoot with my guinea pigs for Parents Magazine and I can’t wait to see it. It’s the first time they’ve gone to NYC!! I also loved shooting for Babesta with Yvette Velasquez and Michel Onofrio. Super fun day using my talents!!
