Ashley Gerasimovich is Alexa’s younger sister. She plays the role of Delilah on the TBS comedy The Detour which aired it’s third season this past year and season four premieres in 2019!
1. How did you enjoy attending the iHeartRadio Music Awards?
The iHeartRadio awards were so fun! My big sister, Alexa, came with me and we had a blast! We took pictures with Halsey, Iggy Azalea, Marshmello, and we saw Cardi B and Maroon 5 perform! Loved the interviews too.
2. How long does it take to film each episode of The Detour?
It takes about 1 1/2 weeks to film one episode of The Detour. We go to different locations and have lots of great guest stars, it’s really fun!
3. What is a typical filming day like for you?
A typical filming day on The Detour is usually going to a new location to set, get in wardrobe and get hair/makeup done, then we start school until they are ready to shoot. It’s fun to get to know the guest stars on each episode too. They are awesome!
4. How are you and Delilah alike? different?
Delilah and I are pretty smart and sarcastic, but I am more book smart and she is more street smart. Delilah has a way better fashion sense too. We both think it’s fun being weird!
5. Who is the biggest prankster on the set?
There is so much craziness on set, we don’t need a prankster! Season 4, we got to work with lots of animals, and that is the best! You never know what will happen! I love them all so much!
6. Whatโs the best part about traveling to Canada to film?
The best part of traveling to Canada to film is that it is sooo different from New York! The people are great, and it’s so cool to live on the West Coast for a while. It’s really beautiful in Vancouver too! I loved sight-seeing.
7. Are there any major differences between filming in the US vs filming in Canada?
The biggest difference in filming in Canada vs. the US is all the possible locations you can film! I’ve seen lots more wildlife in Canada too. It rains a lot in Vancouver, so we had to be prepared for that. I feel so lucky that I got to see so much of Canada, it’s beautiful!
8. Who was your favorite guest star to work with this past season?
It’s so hard for me to pick a favorite co-star, because I love them all! They are all awesome in their own way! I have so much fun with all of them! But if I had to pick an all-time favorite, it would be the alpacas from Season 3! I gave them MANY hugs!
9. What has been your favorite scene(s) to film for season three?
One of my favorite scenes to film in Season 3 was the driving scene! I wasn’t really driving, but I was shifting the gears while the stunt driver drove the car, that was soooo cool!
10. Can you preview anything for season four?
Soooo many things happen in Season 4!! It is one of my favorite seasons!! You just might see some familiar faces ๐ Make sure to watch Season 4 of The Detour! Thanks!
