2017 – Teo Briones

Teo Briones played Timmy Bernardi on Days of Our Lives. This year he was seen in the film Wind River and he starred in the Amazon pilot Will vs. The Future!

1. What was it like working on the film Wind River?

It was great. We filmed in Park City, Utah and I had never been there before. It’s a cool place. I was there for about 4 weeks all together. I had a lot of scenes to shoot, most of them didn’t make it into the final edit though. The director, Taylor Sheridan, is so wonderful to work with. He made me feel really comfortable around all those amazing actors. The whole cast and crew were really nice. It was such a great experience.

2. How did you enjoy working with Jeremy Renner?

I loved it! He is such a great actor and inspiration. He was always very serious on set. I think this film was very important to him, and you could see that on set, and it shows in the film as well.

3. How did you react when you heard you booked Lethal Weapon?

I was very excited! It was such a great part and I felt a connection to it already through the audition process. Once you start to do something so many times for auditions, callback after callback, it starts to be a part of you already.

4. What was it like working with Clayne Crawford?

He Is an awesome guy! I learned so much from him. They do a lot of improv on set, if you have seen the show you have probably guessed that. It is really fun and also challenging. Trying to keep up with it, and also trying not to laugh when it is funny are both hard, but when you feel like you really nailed it and can fit in with the adults, it feels good. I think it was probably one of my favorite acting experiences in my life so far, probably because of how Clayne and I got along, (and all of my scenes were with him). But also because of the awesome crew and other cast members-even ones I had no scenes with. Everyone is just so nice over there, and seemed like they really were enjoying what they were doing, and everyone wanted to be there and make a good show.


5. How did you prepare for the role and the action?

Well, there really wasn’t too much action for me, just a lot of running and I guess a little jumping. But, I do gymnastics and XMA, so I am pretty athletic in that way. As far as preparing for the role, I just study my lines and try to figure out who the character is. What his motivations are. Things like that.

6. What was the casting process like for Will vs. the Future?

It was pretty short for me, I sent in a tape and then a while later I got a call to come in to audition. I did not realize the audition I was going to was already the final callback, and some people already had contracts! There were a bunch of people there, a few of each of the main 3 characters. They kept mixing and matching people, but throughout the time I did keep going back in with either Lexi or Ashlyn, until it ended up being just the 3 of us a lot.

7. What is the best part of filming with Lexi Underwood?

I don’t know if I can name a best part, it was just fun! We just really hit it off and became good friends through the process. Obviously we were together a lot of the time, so it’s a good thing we get along!

8. How do you enjoy working with Ashlyn Faith Williams?

She is so nice and has such a bubbly personality. Even though she wasn’t on set as much as Lexi and I, the 3 of us grew very close.

9. What was your favorite scene to film?

I think the scene in the teacher’s lounge was my favorite. I like doing action and I did all of my own stunts, so that was cool.

10. What else have you been up to this year?

Well, I have spent a lot of time in New York. My dad is in Miss Saigon on Broadway at the moment, so my mom and I travel back and forth all the time. Luckily I am homeschooled, so it is not too hard. It does make auditions difficult sometimes. I do a lot of taping of auditions while I am there. Other than New York it has just been schoolwork and auditions!
