2017 – Jonathan Tysor

Jonathan Tysor did an episode of Days of Our Lives for the carnival. This year he has been seen for Old Navy, Skittles, and has been busy working on A Doggone Adventure!

1. What was the experience been like doing a live theater production of Beauty and the Beast?

It was so much fun to perform in front of a live audience! I also loved being super dramatic and singing/dancing. I played Mr. Bundles, Wacky (had a great time learning the basics of being a ventriloquist!) and Eddie.


2. What was opening night like?

Everyone was super nervous before opening night because if you mess up on stage are no redo’s, however we all worked together and it turned out to be a huge success!

3. How did you enjoy doing a new shoot for Old Navy?

Doing Old Navy shoots is so fun because I get to travel to San Francisco and sometimes I have time to explore and do fun things there! Everybody on the shoot is also very nice and fun too.

4. What is the most challenging part of working with a green screen?

I love working on green screen. The most challenging part though is to look at the same things as everyone else when there’s nothing there. I have a vivid imagination and have no problem pretending to see things but coordinating with everybody else is can be a challenge.

5. What was the best part of being on a game show for Totally TV?

Being part of “What’s the Word” on TotallyTV was a blast. It’s unscripted and we just had fun. Smoochie the Clown was definitely a highlight too.

6. If you could film a project anywhere in the world where would it be and why?

I love to film in LA because I am closest to my friends and family. If I had to choose another place it would probably be somewhere in Scandinavia or Britain. I love Sweden and would like to travel more around in the Nordic countries. I would also like to travel in Britain because I LOVE their accents and I might get to see some Harry Potter attractions!

7. Do you have a favorite part of filming your Skittles commercial?

Of course I really enjoyed eating a lot of Skittles but I also got to work with Ashley and Edward (of Winterstone Pictures) who did my first ever commercial and they are the BEST!

8. What has your time on set been like filming A Doggone Adventure?

The Doggone team has become family by now. A Doggone Adventure was directed by Tony Randel (the first two were directed by Jim Wynorski). We all know each other well. This is the last movie in the trilogy and will be out very soon. It should be a fun one!

9. What is it like to return to your third film with the same cast and crew?

This cast has become so close and I have made great friends so returning to another film is great because we have so much fun and hang out together! In between takes on A Doggone Adventure my friend Walker (who plays David Hill) and I got to go explore an area with lots of rocks and our cast mate, Kurt (Yaeger), told us a lot about the different kinds of rocks and how to find gold!

10. Is there anything you can share about the documentary you have been filming?

I play the role of an astounding scientist as a child escaping Iran. He has an amazing story (and some incredible theories). We filmed out in Johnson Valley at a place called Dry Soggy Lake with an award-winning European film team. I got to meet the scientist I’m playing (hoping to take him up on the offer to visit him at Princeton one day!) and feel very lucky to have been part of this project. The documentary should be out sometime next year.
