2017 – Hunter Payton

Hunter Payton is a Los Angeles based actor. This past year he has been seen in the PixL film The Joneses Unplugged, a commercial for Home Depot and more. He has also been busy attending various industry events including one for the Nintendo Switch!

1. What was your time on set like filming The Joneses Unplugged?

Being on set filming The Joneses Unplugged was so much fun because it was filmed at a Middle School and I got to chat with the kids in between scenes. I really enjoyed working with the director Bradford May because he was a lot of fun and I learned so much from him.

2. What was it like working with Sean Faris?

Sean Faris was really nice to work with and we got to makes jokes with each other in between takes and we worked well together.

3. How did you enjoy being a part of Bianca and Chiara’s series A Day in the Life?

Bianca and Chiara are awesome so it made it really easy to just be myself and have fun with them.

4. What was the best part of filming your Home Depot commercial?

The best part of filming anything is getting to meet and work with amazing people. I still chat with the Carson who played my little brother in the commercial. We also had a blast getting drenched in water when they dumped buckets of water on us to make it look like it rained. I also got to work one of the coolest actors ever, a Great Dane.

5. What was the experience like working on a music video?

Working on a music video is definitely different then working on anything else because there is so much energy on set with singing and dancing. It was a blast getting dance in the music video and work with some of my friends.

6. How did you get involved with the LA Mission this past Easter?

I have actually been very involved with the LA Mission for the past 3 years. My mom used to help at the LA Mission when she was my age so it is something we definitely believe in doing in my house because we really enjoy giving back and helping others.

7. What was the best part of attending the Nintendo Switch Launch Party?

The best part about attending the Nintendo Switch Launch party was getting to play all the games before they came out and talking to the experts that were there. My favorite game was ARMS because I got to 1V1 my friend.

8. Do you get nervous at all giving red carpet interviews?

Yes, of course I still do get nervous at times giving interviews on the red carpet because you only get one take and I don’t want to mess my answers up. But I do enjoy meeting all the interviewers and getting to chat with them.

9. What is the hardest part of auditioning?

I guess there are a few things that are tough about auditioning. The tough part is not booking the job even though you spent a ton of time preparing for the role. Most of the time it is because you just don’t fit the part but it is still tough. The other is having only a minute or so in the room for the casting director to get to know me.

10. What else have you been up to this year?

Along with continuing to work with the organizations Free2Luv and The Jonathan Foundation as one of their advocates, I recently started working with 2 additional non-profits Team1rHr and Inspire Cali. Team1rhr was founded by my good friend Sean with the belief that We are one Race, The Human Race and representing the 7 continents we are coming together to foster Peace and Unity for all Humanity. Inspire Cali is an organization with the determination to help serve the homeless children where needed.
