1. How do you decide which songs to cover on your YouTube channel?

I cover songs that I enjoy listening to at the time. I also consider whether the lyrics are appropriate and if it’d be easy to accompany myself or find a good instrumental.

2. Can we expect new covers from you in the new year?

I hope so. It definitely depends on my work and school schedule, but I think I’ll be able to sneak them in there.

3. What was it like attending the Children’s Festival?

A ton of fun! The Hollywood Arts Council invites me as a celebrity speaker, so I get interviewed on stage and get to meet so many cute kids. Anyone can attend and take part in the activity booths so I definitely recommend it!

4. What is your favorite screening that you have attended?

I think I have two favorites. I went to a screening for Inside Out, and afterwards got to chat with the director Pete Docter about the whole process behind the movie. I also went to a screening for The Danish Girl, which is such a beautiful movie. There was a Q&A with Eddie Redmayne in which he talked about how he prepared for such a complex role, and I got a picture with him. Those were both very enlightening experiences.

5. Do you have a favorite question you’ve had answered at a Q&A?

At one of Jackie Chan’s Q&As, I asked him about his stunts. He told this exciting story about how the director wanted him to jump off of the roof of a tall building and onto a helicopter ladder. All they had on the ground was a big inflatable cushion, and Jackie thought that the helicopter was too far away but he still went for it. When the take began, Jackie was barely able to grab the ladder and he really thought that he wasn’t going to make it. After all that, the director just said, “Great, let’s shoot one more!” He ended up doing three more takes. I can’t imagine doing something that risky!

6. What was your time on set like filming Journey to the East?

I loved every second of it. My role was Tingting, a mean girl who goes to a Chinese school. It was exciting to play someone completely different from myself, plus it was very interesting filming both an English version and a Chinese version.

7. Who has been your favorite person to work with this year?

It was awesome working with Bella Thorne on Famous in Love. She’s such a sweet, down-to-earth person. She kept writing me these little notes on napkins in between takes, it was very cute.

8. What has been your favorite recent project to work on and why?

Definitely Famous in Love! I had a great time working with Norman Buckley and the crew of Pretty Little Liars. Everyone was so professional, focused, and sweet.

9. Is there anything you can share about your role in Famous in Love?

I’ll be appearing in the second episode. I guess you could say my character presents a major turning point in Bella Thorne’s story line.

10. What else have you been up to this year?

I actually skipped a year of school, so I’ve been working hard to graduate a whole year early. I’ve also been having meetings with some producers from Shanghai for an interesting project, so we’ll see if it works out!

We’d like to thank Victoria for participating in our Holiday Q&A Event!
