2016 – Olivia Sanabia

 

Olivia Sanabia is a young actress from the Los Angeles area. You likely saw her Dairy Queen commercial airing last summer, and you can see her as Kelly in the series Just Add Magic which is now available on Amazon! 1. What was your time on set like filming Life in Pieces?

I had an amazing time on the set of Life in Pieces! The cast was hilarious and so talented!! I enjoyed learning their funny ways!

2. How did you enjoy working on your Dairy Queen commercial?

I had such a fun time filming the Dairy Queen commercial! I remember that we turned on the sprinklers for one shot. One of the directors took one for the team and got sprayed by a sprinkler. I couldn’t help but laugh!!! It’s always surreal when I see myself on TV! It’s a very rewarding feeling!

3. How did you get involved with the LA Mission?

When I heard about the LA Mission, I knew it was something that I wanted to get involved with! I was able to help out this Thanksgiving! It was awesome to see people who really needed a meal get a big Thanksgiving dinner! It’s a great program that everyone can get involved with!!

4. What was your first day on set like for Just Add Magic after the series was picked up?

The first day on set was filled with nerves and excitement! We all had waited to start filming for months, so finally filming was amazing!! We started to get into the flow of new things. We learned where and when to go for hair and makeup, where our dressing rooms were, and different hang-out places on the set! We were introduced to everyone on set! That was about 120 people! They were all so wonderful and we became a family!!

5. How do you like working with Aubrey K. Miller?

I felt so blessed to work with such an amazing cast all around! They were so talented, kind, and hardworking! We all got along really well and connected immediately!

6. What is has the experience been like working with Dee Wallace?

Dee Wallace is such a joy to work with! She brings a lot to the scripts! It’s great to learn from such an experienced actress!

7. How did you enjoy attending the red carpet premiere?

It felt amazing attending the Just Add Magic premiere! It was a night we all dreamed of! I got to get dressed up which was so fun (what girl wouldn’t love that?)! It allowed us to celebrate all of the crew and cast’s hard work! We saw our faces on the big-screen alongside friends and family! It was a night I will never forget!

8. Do you have a favorite episode you have worked on so far?

I think that my favorite episode to film was episode six!! I loved being put under a crazy spell that changes my age!! It was something that I definitely had to get into a different mindset for! I thank my little siblings for inspiration!! I also loved to film episode ten because I got to go into deeper emotions. It was a side of worry that no one had seen Kelly go to yet!

9. What is your favorite part of playing Kelly?

I love to play Kelly because she is selfless. She is willing to pay a huge price for her Grandmother! She is always concerned for others! It is an amazing quality to look for in people and it’s great to see in characters!
