2016 – Nicholas Hernandez

 

Nicholas Hernandez is a young actor and model from Florida. He has been seen in commercials for Party City, Outback Steakhouse, and more! To keep up to date make sure to like his page on Facebook and follow him on Instagram

 

1. How did you get started in the industry?

My mom put me in modeling because everyone said I looked like a Gerber baby. I started modeling when I was three. When I was older, I started working mostly on commercials and TV, which is what I do now.

2. What was your first booking?

My first booking was a print shoot for Toys R Us when I was three.

3. What was your time on set like filming your Imaginext commercial?

The Imaginext commercial was my first national commercial shoot. It was awesome! I had my own director’s chair with my name on it. It was a long day, but I got to keep the outfit I shot in and they gave me a huge box of brand new Imaginext toys! (Which my little brothers kept lol)

4. How was it like working with Ryan Tannehill for your NFL shoot?

Ryan Tannehill is probably one of the most famous people I have ever worked with. He was super cool and played games with all of us on set. Great guy!

5. What was the best part of filming your Outback Steakhouse commercial?

The best part was definitely the food lol. Outback is my favorite restaurant, my family and I go there all the time.

6. Do you have a favorite part of filming your Marlin’s commercial?

It was cool seeing the different parts of the Marlins Stadium. It’s enormous and beautiful. My grandma took me to this job and we had a great day together.

7. How did you feel seeing your Party City commercial airing for the first time?

It took me awhile to see the commercial live on air. I had seen it online, it even came on during one of my online games. However, the first time I saw it on our big TV was an amazing feeling. I was also a little embarrassed because the announcer said we (the kids and I) were 5 years old, and we are all almost 10!

8. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on or off set for one of your projects?

The funniest thing was when my mom was recording me on set, and suddenly the chair she was sitting in broke into pieces. It was hilarious because you see her legs flying up in the video. (My mom doesn’t agree that it was funny but I think it is lol)

9. Who have been your favorite people to work with?

I have had so much fun working on all my projects, and all the crews have been wonderful. I loved working with the Universal Studios crew, and the Party City crew are always cool too! I especially loved working with my friends Jelani C., Sawyer J., Brianna T., Chloe T., Sofia O., Chyann P., Jake M., Shamy G., Jasmine S., and Zara R. on many different shoots.

10. What has been your favorite project to work on so far?

I once got to Body board for a print shoot, and that was incredible. My favorite shoot has to be my Universal Studios Orlando one. I waited all summer to hear if I booked it or not, and I really, really wanted this job. I got to shoot a scene with Megatron the Transformer and it was AWESOME. Afterwards, we stayed and enjoyed the parks.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

My advice to any kid starting in this business, is to keep going and practice your acting skills. There are tons of “NO’s” to every “YES”, but the “YESSES” will come if you don’t give up. Peace out and have a great Holiday Season! – Nick Ryan Hernandez
