2016 – Marlowe Peyton

 

Marlowe Peyton played Tanner on The Neighbors and was seen as Melody and a Theater kid on Parenthood. This year she has been seen in multiple episodes of Fresh Off the Boat and been busy attending events. 1. What was the experience like volunteering with the LA Mission this year for Thanksgiving?

Volunteering at the LA Mission is an amazing experience. We actually work and get to interact with these fantastic people. Serving someone a hot meal and seeing their smile is a gift.

2. What was the best part of attending the Dream Halloween event?

This was my first time at the Dream Halloween event and it was an amazing night for an amazing cause! Our whole squad went, my sister Merit Leighton vlogged it with Ben Stockham, Izzy Eggerling and Jacob Hopkins and his brother Gerad. Fantastic night!

3. How did you enjoy attending the Trolls premiere?

That rainbow carpet at the Trolls premier was amazing and meeting Justin Timberlake was pretty cool, he was so gracious! Trolls is one of our family’s favorite movies, especially in 3D. Go see it!

4. Do you have an update for us on The Nerd Posse?

Yes! The Nerd Posse is filming right after Christmas. So excited the producers, crew and of course the cast are all amazing! Stay tuned to @thenerdpossetv for behind the scenes and announcements soon!

5. What was the audition process like for Fresh Off the Boat?

I had been into the CDs office for Fresh Off The Boat a bunch of times. When I read this part I was like YEAH, I love Reba! This audition was on tape for producers… and I didn’t hear anything for about a week and then they called and I booked it! I really, really love this character. I’m SO blessed to play Reba, one of my favorite roles ever.

6. What was your first day on set like?

Everyone truly is super kind and talented on the set of Fresh Off The Boat. There was one day where I had a few scenes alone so I was the only actor on set for a few hours, that was a crazy cool. Everyone from the producers, writers, directors, hair, makeup, wardrobe and of course the cast all make it an awesome experience every time.

7. How do you like working with Hudson Yang?

Hudson is so great work with we had a fun. He’s a super cool guy and working with him always makes for a great day on set! I love stalking him as Reba, it’s the best! LOL

8. What is it like filming with Randall Park?

Randall was incredibly kind and came up to me the first time I had a scene with him and told me “You’re hilarious!” so that really made my day!

9. Is there anyone in the cast you hope to get to work with?

My dream was to work with Randall Park and Constance Wu in a scene, and that actually just happened in the Halloween episode called Louisween, we had a scene where Reba played a polish ghost, total greatness.

10. What would you like to see happen next for Reba?

I love that Reba gets to sing a lot on the show, I’m a singer so getting to play a character I love that sings, is pretty much perfection. The writers create incredibly funny unexpected comedy for Reba all the time, but I think it would be fun if Reba was the lead in a school play, ran for class president or became Eddies tutor since her and Louis seem to have it off lol!
