2016 – Lily Mae Silverstein

 

Lily Mae Silverstein appeared in the second season of Parenthood. She has been seen on Deadtime Stories, Bunk’d, and in multiple commercials. To keep up to date make sure to follow her on Twitter and Instagram.

 

1.How did you enjoy shooting for Maevey Blue?

I barely remember because I was just a little kid. Our neighbor is the clothing designer and she dressed me up and we went to a park and took pictures. What a great playdate.

2. What was your time on set like filming for Parenthood?

2. 3. & 4. It was so much fun. Tyree Brown and I played with pointer fingers on a stick and put them through our sleeves of our jackets and pretended they were our real hands. The cast really got a kick out of us…we really made Joy and Dax laugh.

5. What was the experience like working on Chevy?

My experience working on Chevy was amazing. I started out auditioning for the role of the daughter (Hope) that Grace Kaufman was amazing at. The creator, Brad Copeland kept bringing me back for auditions because he thought I was really funny but too young to play Hope. He wrote me into the pilot as Summer the neighbor girl. I’ll always be grateful to Brad for giving me the opportunity to be on the show.

6. Did you get to work with Chevy Chase?

Yeah I got to work with Chevy Chase. We were in a backyard party scene together. No a lot of interaction but good guy all the same.

7. How did you enjoy filming your NAPA Auto Parts commercial?

The Napa Auto Parts commercial was a great experience because the director allowed me to do new things…a lot of ad lib!

8. What was filming OowieWanna like?

Oowie Wanna was a short film written and directed by Bridget Palardy as part of a American Film Institute – Women in Film project. My first short film. Bridget was able to get the late Karen Black to be in it with me. Karen is a Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee and she was MY email friend! I truly got to work with a Hollywood legend. She gave me advice like the best colors to wear and how she prepares for her scenes.

9. What is the best part of seeing yourself on television?

The best part of seeing myself on television is the opportunity to correct myself and look for different ways I could have made the scene better. I’m always looking for ways to improve — to be the best actor I can be.

10. Do you have a favorite project that you have done?

My favorite project so far is Bunk’d – the season 2 premiere. It was my first time working on the show (I’ve shot a total of 5 episodes so far). The regular cast was getting together for the first time in months. The energy was incredible and the main cast was so welcoming and included me in their daily off camera activities. I truly love them all! The season premiere aired on Tuesday, Aug. 23 on Disney Channel. Tune-in…I’m sure you’ll enjoy the show!!

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I shot a commercial campaign for CenturyLink with Paul Giamatti. I was part of a 4 person family that tries to give Paul tips on how to be a better actor. The 5 of us would go into a room to rehearse the commercials. We laughed so hard my sides hurt. FUNNY, FUNNY PEOPLE!!!!
