2016 – Jared Breeze

 

Jared Breeze plays the role of Max Rayburn on The Young and the Restless. He has also been seen on Your Family or Mine, in the film The Boy, and more! To keep up to date make sure to follow him on Twitter.

 

1. How did you get started acting?

That was about five years ago. Jimmy Kimmel filmed a Halloween special at his cousin’s house in Studio City where I lived. Basically they were pranking the trick or treaters. Then they showed three or four clips on the show, and mine was one of them. To see myself on TV totally got me hooked and it was really fun doing that!

2. What was your time on set like filming your movie The Boy?

It was great flying to Columbia and seeing this foreign country and it’s beautiful landscape. Being on set every day was a huge new experience but also a bit exhausting. Working with David Morse and Rainn Wilson taught me a few things. The best week though was when Aiden Lovekamp was filming his scenes with me. We had a great time!

3. Do you have a favorite scene you filmed for the film?

Funny enough it was a scene we did on the first day of shooting, the scene where I observe the road from my treehouse. It was a whole production getting me into that tree with stunt coordinators, different harnesses, cables and so on. I felt like James Bond!

4. What was the best part of working on Your Family or Mine?

The best part of doing “Your Family or Mine” was performing in front of a live audience. That gives you an extra kick. After that show I went straight into a theater production for the holidays called “The Littlest Angel”, so the sit com was great practice.

5. What has your experience been like working on The Young and the Restless?

Daytime drama took a bit getting used to. The pace is very fast. You need to nail your scene right away but everybody is very and supportive. Really like a big family but that actually like each other.

6. How do you like working with Sean Carrigan?

Sean was great, very professional, always made sure we rehearse our scenes but also had time to joke around. Very funny guy.

7. What is it like filming with Melissa Ordway?

Although Melissa’s character and mine fight a lot in the story and become downright hostile, we actually had a good time on set joking around and laughing a lot.

8. What is the best part of working with Eileen Davidson?

She was really nice. She was really helpful in our scenes and made it easy for me to have Max trust her.

9. Do you have a favorite scene that you have filmed?

The whole baby shower story actually. There was a lot of action and acting out the plan was great fun, even though it was a mean thing to do.

10. Is there anything you can share about your role in American Kings?

Only that I play the son in a mafia type family.

Just that I had an amazing time so far working with really great people. And thank you guys for doing such a great job on your website!
