1. Do you have a favorite cover shoot that you have done?
My favorite cover I ever did was my 3rd. The shoot was in Los Angeles, California on the beach. I love LA and I got to see my friends there. For the shoot they did a pretend birthday party and they made it my Birthday it was fun. And I also got to work with some of the biggest child models in LA.
2. What was it like working for Alivia Simone?
The campaign shoot and look book shoot I did for Alivia Simone was for the FW15 collection. I went to Atlanta Georgia to shoot. It was fun because the other models are friends of mine in this industry Berkley, Harper & Lilah. We all live in different States so it was nice to see each other and hang out after work.
3. What was your time on set shooting for Dimity Bourke like?
When I went to Bali to shoot a campaign & look book for Dimity Bourke it was hot. The first day of shooting the crew had an air conditioned room for me for part of the day at 2 separate locations. On The second day of shooting it was on the beach and they rented a white horse. We went to some beautiful locations in Bali and I made some great new friends.
4. How did you enjoy traveling to Bali for the shoot?
Going to Bali, Indonesia I did not like the plane ride. It was 24 hours. But I loved the destination and I loved stopping in China.
5. What is the best part of taking part in the Kids Rock Fashion Show?
I love walking for Haddad’s Kids Rock Live! I have had the privilege to be invited back the last 4 seasons. I love their clothes they represent like Levi’s, Converse, Hurly, Nike & Jordan. I love doing runway shows and this show is as big as it gets! The real NYFW or Mercedes Benz. The KR staff are all so nice and it’s great to hang out with several of my friends in modeling and all the celebrity’s kids that walk that I have become friends with. Their parents are really nice and we have such a great time. It seems each show Kids Rock does this better than the last one. There next show February 11th. I will be walking for Levis & Nike for the FW16 collection. And it will be on live too.
6. What was the experience taking part in LA Style Fashion Week like?
I love the dresses and outfits that LuLu et GiGi and Couture does. I was invited to go to Los Angeles, California in October and walk 2 shows of hers for LA Style Fashion Week “LAFW”. I was in LA for 3 weeks in October. I loved the long runway and the first show I got to walk out with the designer Eni, as a model this is such a privilege. At the same show I also met Disney child actress Ava Kolker from the Disney TV series Girl Meets World. She is also a well known movie actress. We are now very close friends and I stay at her home when I go to Los Angeles. The second show I did for LuLu et GiGi all the models wore these incredible head pieces by an Italian designer named Fiori Couture. I’ve never seen such beautiful works of art…. head pieces, purses, and body wear.
7. How did you enjoy shooting for Lulu et Gigi?
Alvin Toro was the photographer for all the events for LuLu Couture. I think he is really talented! I love his work and I look forward to shooting with him in New York in 2 weeks.
8. What was it like to be involved in the fashion show at the United Against Ebola Benefit?
MacDella Cooper is very passionate about her homeland in Liberia. She approached my mom and asked her if she would help her with this fundraiser. At the time this was the first fundraiser in New York, it was December 2014. My mom brought in Designer Bonnie Young and turned the show into more about children. We all wore Bonnie young dresses and had flowers on our feet and walked the runway barefoot. My mom called a lot of press people in and had my friend Frenie Arakoba to sing (she is a child Broadway star, and played Lavender in Matilda for 2 years). At this event I knew all the models because they were all the Bonnie young “dream team”. I was very proud of my mom and all the hard work she did for such an important cause in Africa. Famous designer Dan Karen, as well as Sean Combs’ ” Diddy” twin daughters, and Fatima who was a child model and now an actress, she is the voice of the cartoon Dora the Explorer.
9. How did you feel when you saw your image from your Max Eremine shoot featured on Vogue Italy?
When my mom and I saw my photos for Vogue Italia I was so excited and I think my mom cried. For a model these truly are the pivotal moments in your career.
10. Do you have any advice for youth looking to get started in modeling?
1. My advice is to always be nice to everyone. 2. Don’t be a show off, kids and other models won’t like you. 3. Don’t take it personally if you don’t get picked for a job. 4. Never be late to a job, and respect the client’s clothes and their belongings. (Don’t eat or jump around while wearing them.)
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I want to thank the people who work so hard for me and have mad me the success I am. Thank you to my agency & bookers at Generation Model Management. They have been representing me from the beginning when I was 6 years old. My acting manager Lisa at Calli company, Lisa Pettit who runs my website for the last 4.5 years, my model friends and their moms who keep me in mind when they spot a photo of me and post it so I can see it or pick up a poster of me at a store because they know I am waiting for one. I also want to thank my fans! They have been so good to me I keep and post all their artwork of me and I love how they show me so much support. I now have over 5200 followers on Instagram. Some that are very loyal have started fan pages, fan sites and they tell me I am their inspiration. I only want to inspire for the good and I thank them everyday for there unconditional support. Most of all I want to thank my mom Sunday Galiano-Porcelli. I never say thank you enough to her for all she has done for my career for the last 6 years. I know she works very she on my social networking, she travels around the world with me for my work, she organizes the thousands of photos of me and everything she does in some way is for me, my happiness, and the success for my future. I feel very lucky to have her and we are very close. My mom is a former international Editorial and Runway fashion model and truly I really learned everything I know from her.
We’d like to thank Angelina for participating in our February Q&A series!
