2016 – Ainsley Crouse

 

Ainsley Crouse is a young model and actress from the New York and Philadelphia area. She has recently been seen on QVC and in ads for Boscov’s. To keep up to date make sure to follow her on Instagram.

 

1. How did you get started in the industry?

My mom did it when she was little like me and we decided to give it a try when I was about 4 years old. It is fun to spend time with my mom when we go into the city. My mom told me that she mailed my photos to people to see if they would want me to be a part of the agency. The agency is the one that tells me when there is an audition. I have an agent in Philadelphia who is Renee from Click models. My mom said that she is really nice. The agent in New York City is from Funny Face Today. (mom helped me remember those names). They send my mom messages and they tell her where we need to go. It is always exciting because we get to take the train or cabs.

2. What was your first day on set for QVC like?

QVC is so much fun and I get happy when my mom tells me I got another job there because they have nice workers and one time I even got a fluffy jacket and bear after appearing on TV. The first time I went there, I didn’t realize that I would be on TV and when the job was over, people in the hallway told me that I did a great job and I didn’t understand how they saw me. I thought that was funny. It is really neat to go home and see myself modeling or doing cool things on the big TV. I am also on their online store a lot.

3. Do you have a favorite segment that you have done for them?

My favorite time at QVC was the time we got to play with race car toys because I like them. I did a lot of the Christmas gift shows and they were all toys and I even got paid to play with toys. Another time that was really awesome was when I got to dress up like Elsa and Anna and have a pretend tea party.

4. How did you enjoy working for Maniere Accessories?

We had fun that day because the photographer is really fun and nice. (Elizabeth Pettey). She made me laugh a lot and the other girls I was with were really nice. Oh, and we got a big box of headbands to take home!

5. What is your time on set like shooting for Boscov’s?

We love when we get a job at Boscov’s because it is only 10 minutes from my house! And then we eat at Panera afterwards, where I always get the yummy macaroni and cheese, apple, and lemonade. The people at Boscov’s are so kind. I met many friends there and even got to wear a bikini one time and it made my mom laugh because she doesn’t let me wear bikinis at home. It was cool seeing me in the newspaper and catalogs and my grand dad was so proud to see me too. I worked there many times and hope to get a job there again soon.

6. How did you feel seeing yourself in Babiekins Magazine?

I love getting the magazines I am in because it is cool to see my photos in there. I am not sure what Babiekins Magazine is, but it looked cool and I also saw some of my other friends in there. My mom puts all of the magazines and catalogs that I have been in in a pink box on my bookshelf and then I like to show my friends when they come over to play. My mom said that Babiekins is one of her favorite magazines.

7. What is the best part of working for Vanity Fair Outlets?

I worked at the outlet place 2 times and each time was easy and it is close to my house. They had me wear a bunch of clothes and some of them were so pretty and my mom let me buy one of them because I loved it so much. I had a full page of just me on their website.

8. What is one of the funniest things to happen on set for one of your projects?

I did a photo shoot for a home place shop (Lowes Home Improvement) and I got to cover my fake dad in stickers, all over him. I even put them on his nostrils and in his ears. That was a fun day because there was a dog on set, too, and I love animals.

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?

My friends that I have met always make me excited to work. Some of my model friends are also ones that I have playdates with. I also really like the photo people we have met because they like to make me smile and laugh.

10. Do you have a favorite project that you have worked on?

My favorite project would be when I filmed an episode of a TV show (Orange is the New Black) because I got to dress up and run around with a couple of other kids on a farm. There were chickens and cows and really pretty flowers. There was also a tree swing that went really high.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I really love modeling and acting, but definitely acting. I started taking acting classes because it would be fun to get better at it and hopefully, one day, be in a big movie or TV show like the ones I watch. Oh, and my favorite movies are Star Wars, all of them, Pippi Longstocking, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. If I don’t become an actor, then I want to be an animal shelter worker.
