2015 – Zachary Haven

 

Zachary Haven is a young actor from LA. Since our last Q&A with him he has been seen in the film Airplane vs Volcano and been working on projects such as Blood Relatives! To keep up to date make sure to follow him on Twitter and like his page on Facebook.

 

1. What was it like doing voice over work for The Lost Captain?

It was lots of fun. I got to play two different characters. It is always cool to create the different voices for characters that I get to play.

 

2. What was the experience like helping out at the Los Angeles Mission’s Christmas Eve event?

It feels amazing to be able to help feed those less fortunate and I am so glad that there are places that offer food and gifts to them, I hope to be invited back to this event every year to help feed the hungry!

 

3. Do you have a favorite event you’ve attended this year?

I haven’t do a whole lot this year yet, but I did have a “sweet” time at Cookie Con! I also enjoyed raising awareness for a Puppy Rescue group that may be evicted from their property.

 

4. What was the best part of filming your episode of Devil in the Details?

Probably the soft blankets. It was so cold and windy when we were filming. They gave us these huge soft warm blankets to wear in between scenes.

 

5. What was your time on set like working on Blood Relatives?

I had so much fun playing with my older brother. It felt like I was back at home playing with my real older brother, Tyler. It was also great because I had worked for the Director and Producers before. It was great to see them again.

 

6. Do you have a favorite part of working on The Drunken Moon?

I think the best part was getting to stay up late! Since it was mostly a night scene, I was up way past my bedtime. I was also cool working with Erik as I recognized him from the funny State Farm commercial.

 

7. What is the most challenging part of auditioning?

Doing it in front of the casting director. Even when you get called back, it’s even harder because you are in front of even more people, like producers, network, directors. It can be nerve wracking, but I love it!

 

8. How did you prepare for your role of Tony in Airplane vs Volcano?

It was really great working on that film. I was the only kid on set and all of the actors treated me like I was one of them. Lawrence would come and get me from my room to run lines and I thought that was really neat. I probably miss that set the most of all the things I have done!

 

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with this past year?

I would have to say Dean Cain aka Superman and Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs. They were so nice and fun to work with.

 

10. What has been your favorite project to work on this past year?

I don’t really have a favorite as I really love doing all of them. I learned something from all of them.

 

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Aside from being an actor, I am an ambassador for Boo2Bullying and GenerationOn. I really wish that bullying didn’t exist. I want everyone to come together and help put an end to bullying. I also am a strong advocate for kids getting out and doing well in their society. There are so many volunteer opportunities for kids. It really make you feel good helping others.
