1. How do you prepare for an audition?

Well there is two part to this answer the business part and then the creative part. First for the business part, most of the time when I’m preparing for an audition my mom gets the scrip or the breakdown and she sends me an email and also tells me verbally. Once I know this I read over the script or the breakdown so I can learn more about my character.

Next comes the creative part. Once I know who my character is I begin to working creativing bringing that character to life. This involves me digging throug my experiences I have had for the past 10 years of my life and serif I can relate to that character from either having similar experiences of finding an experience I have experienced that may bring up the same emotions required to play that character. From there if they give me a script my mom or one of my good friends works with me on reading the script so I memorize it and practice. From there I go to the audition and always imagine I already have the part and they just need to meet me in person before they give me the role.

2. Do you ever get nervous at all before going in to one?

Oh yes I get nervous each and every time I get a new audition but the nervous part is what makes it fun. I like challenges.

3. What was it like being a part of Comedy Central’s All-Star Non-Denominational Christmas Special?

This was a role that was fun and exciting! When I found out I had booked the role I screamed and had to pinch myself because I thought I was dreaming. I love comedy and in school they call me the class monkey because I’m always goofing around. Being on Comedy Central was on my bucket list to things to do in my life and I got to go it as a kid.

4. Do you have any special tricks to get yourself into character while on set?

Ah lol. Laughing yes I do but I already gave that secret away in question number one. If I was to add anything I would say it would be my mom’s special ingredient of listening to one of her positive motivational CD’s that she always plays.

5. If you could work on any project what would it be and who would it be with?

Oh this is a good one. If I could work on any project what would it be and who would it be with? Hmmm there is a few people that comes to mind but if I had to choose just one person I would love to work with my Dad whose name is also Sinqua Walls and I would have love to either play on his old TV show Teen Wolf or on his new TV show Once Upon A Time. If we did Once Upon A Time together we could wear those cool old costumes together and eat cookies laugh and stuff when we were on break.

6. What was the experience like filming your music video for Mod Murs?

This was fun and very interesting. Mod Murs was really fun to work with and it was very interesting learning how the music video was made and how the set looked totally completely from what it turned out when you saw the final version. Overall a great experience.

7. What is one of the funniest things to happen on set for a project?

I fell face down in the mud while shooting and when I got up couldn’t see a thing. My mom got it all on camera.

8. Do you have a favorite part about acting?

My favorite part about acting is the challenge of learning a new character and the many opportunities I get to have to use my imagination. I love being creative.

9. Can you tell us anything about your episode of Tornado Alley?

Omg shooting this was one of the shows I will never forget. It was so cold outside when we shot this and on top of that they added the rain, the wind and I fell in the mud. In between each take they had to bring lots of bath towels to keep me warm because I was freezing. But after we got done shooting I got to get inside the ambulance and I got to sound the alarm. I love fire trucks and ambulances so that was cool.

10. Do you remember anything about your time on Passions? Do you ever watch yourself in old episodes?

I don’t think I personally remember because I was so young but I do recall the memories because my mom took so many photos and documented it really good So I always feel like I remember it. We also watch the old episodes sometimes so that is always fun. I still like the episode with the flying turkey the best.

Anything else you’d like to add?

Do I have anything else I would like to add? I like for people to know that outside of acting I play basketball for a team called BFT and I also skateboard. I created my own skateboard company called Reverse and I make skateboards, custom design them and sell to my friends. I’m able to buy the boards with the money I earn from my acting so that is really fun for me.

We’d like to thank Sinqua for participating in this year’s Holiday Q&A Event!
