2015 – Samuel Caruana

1. What was the experience like attending the Indie Night Film Festival for Moms?

The film festival was great!! It was really nice to reconnect with everyone and the q& a was great fun.

2. How did you enjoy shooting with Kenneth Dolin?

Kenneth Dolin is an amazing photographer . Very artistic and mad cool!

3. What was your time on set like filming the Microchip Jones pilot?

Fun. Great experience!

4. What was your favorite part about your character Anthony Jones?

His sweetness and humor. The fact that though he is disabled, Anthony doesn’t let that limit him and plus he really loves his family and I relegate to him a lot.

5. How did you prepare for your role in The Fertile River?

Rehearsed with the cast especially Miss Hopkins & Mr. Warren via conference call before our formal rehearsals began. I also did a lot of research on Eugenics, which is the subject of the play.

6. What was the rehearsals process like for the show?

We had a luncheon after casting was complete, so we could all connect and get to know each other. We also called each other on the phone to chat. Our producer , Alton Patton lll, was instrumental in this as it was very important to him and our director, Nancy Cheryll – Bellamy, and of course our writer, Vincent Terrell Durham , that we connect as human beings on a real level as the human and familial connections are a very important base for all the characters in the play.

7. What was it like taking the stage on opening night?

It felt like home. I love the stage. Want to do more stage work.

8. How did you enjoy doing the Q&A session for the show? Do you have a favorite question that was asked?

The Q & A was really insightful and I enjoyed it.

9. What else have you been up to this year?

Auditioning and balancing ninth grade with my career. I’ve always been serious about learning the craft of acting and raising my understanding and acting skill is most important to me as I intend on acting for the rest of my life and having the skills to do this is key. I’ve found a great new acting coach and am excited about taking my acting training to the next level.
