2015 – Reese and Kennedy

 

Reese and Kennedy play the role of Katherine “Katie” Newman on The Young and The Restless. This year the girls shot a commercial for 1-800-Flowers. To keep up to date make sure to keep checking back here.

 

1. How did you react when the girls got cast on YR?

I couldn’t believe it!! We were so excited and felt incredibly grateful for such a wonderful opportunity.

 

2. Is there a way to tell the girls apart on screen?

It’s hard!! Not really! I can’t tell.

 

3. How do they like working with Amelia?

It’s a dream! Amelia is one of a kind! So compassionate and sweet. She’s a mom herself and the girls just love her.

 

4. What was it like working with Burgess Jenkins?

Awesome! He’s so nice to the kids!

 

5. How do Reese and Kennedy like working with Ryan and Holden?

You mean the cutest boys ever?!? We love it! They are so adorable, funny and sweet!!

 

6. What was their first day on set like?

So fun! I was nervous only because I didn’t know what to expect. The actors and crew took wonderful care of the girls. They filmed their birthing scene…they rubbed a combination of strawberry jelly and cream cheese on them to simulate a “real birth” it went quick and smoothly.

 

7. How did Reese and Kennedy like their costume for the Halloween episodes?

They liked them and wore the ladybug hat with a smile!

 

8. What was it like filming for Katie’s first birthday party?

So fun! My favorite part was her cute dress and fancy silver shoes!

 

9. Is there someone on the show that you hope they get the chance to work with?

I’m pretty sure we’ve worked with almost everyone. My favorite scenes to shoot are when its just Victoria, Billy and the kids.

 

10. Do you have a favorite scene they have done for the show so far?

So far my favorite was the Halloween scene when Katie was on the couch with all the other kids. They were all so cute in their costumes!!
