1. How did you get started in the industry?

Well, when I was a baby, people would always stop my mommy and daddy and tell them that I was a beautiful baby and that I look like I should be a model. They never really thought anything of it. One day, my mom had some extra pictures of me printed out and she just decided to mail them out to some agencies. They didn’t expect to hear from anyone, but a few weeks later they got a call from a few agencies. Daddy took me to meet with them and next thing we know, I was heading for my first go see.

2. What was it like working for KidCuteTure?

KidCuteTure was really fun. I love all their fun and colorful designs. Their clothes are really comfy and I love twirling in their dresses! I can’t wait to work with them again.

3. Do you have a favorite shoot you’ve done for Neon Kisses?

The Neon Kisses shoots are always awesome. Their clothes are so unique and vibrant. I’ve met some really great friends at their shoots. I also got to work with cool photographers like Anna Mafster from Candy Kid Photography and Kahran and Reggie from Creative Soul.

4. What is the best part about walking the runway at petitePARADE?

The hair and makeup! That’s always my favorite part. It feels like you get to play dress up and you get to make lots of friends. Then, when you walk out on the runway, the music is playing and you hear everyone clapping and cheering for you. It’s so exciting!

5. What was the experience like becoming Chrissy Teagan for Toddlewood?

Toddlewood and ‘becoming’ Chrissy Teigen was something I’ll never forget. It was the first time I got my hair straightened and I got to wear a beautiful, long, gold dress just like the one Chrissy wore to the Grammy’s. There were lots of TV cameras there and they even interviewed me. Tricia and her team made me feel like a super star!

6. How did you get started playing tennis and what is your favorite thing about the sport?

My mom was a tennis player and my grandpa too. Mommy says it’s in my blood! I love playing tennis because it’s a fun way to exercise and you get to compete and still make friends. I really enjoy myself when I play!

7. How cool is it to have been on the cover of Parents Magazine when you were younger?

Super cool! I think I’m a pretty lucky kid. I never imagined that I would see my face on the cover of a magazine.

8. What was it like walking the runway for Oscar de la Renta?

The Oscar de la Renta runway show was very special. It was my first time ever on the runway! Aside from the pretty clothes I got to wear, I had the chance to meet Oscar de la Renta. At that time, I didn’t understand how important he was to the fashion world. I remember that he was a very kind man. He told my daddy that I was beautiful.

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?

Wow! That is a very tough question. I’ve had the chance to work with some amazing photographers, stylists, hair and makeup artists, and wranglers. Some of my favorite photographers are Tricia from Toddlewood, Anna Mafster from Candy Kid, Kahran and Reggie Bethencourt from Creative Soul, Lily Koz, Zoe Bercovic, Olesja Mueller Astraukas, and Kris Lou + Erik Robert Photography. That’s a lot of favorites! I love all of them because they are all so warm and friendly. They really know how to let me just be me and feel free while I’m in front of the camera.

10. What has been your favorite project to work on so far?

Working on the set of the movie Tapestry with Stephen Baldwin. The scene was for a birthday party. We got to play with lots of balloons!!

We’d like to thank Ligaya for participating in this year’s February Q&A Event!
