Laura Krystine worked on a 2012 episode of The Neighbors. This year she has been seen on Richie Rich, Fresh Off the Boat, and is Lori Loudly on 100 Things to Do Before High School! To keep up to date make sure to like her page on Facebook, follow her on Twitter and follow her on Instagram.
1. What was it like shooting with Cathryn Farnsworth?
Shooting with Cathryn Farnsworth is amazing! I’ve been doing my headshots with her since I was 7yrs old. But the best time I’ve ever had shooting with her was with my friends Jenna Ortega and Krischelle Delgado. We had so much fun at LACMA! Cathryn is truly a blessing and I’m so glad she is my photographer!
2. How did you enjoy attending the Nickelodeons Kids Choice Sports Awards?
Attending the KCSA was fun. I went with my amazing friends, Jenna Ortega and Izabella Alvarez. We had a fun night. It was funny watching celebrity athletes get slimed and having fun.
3. What was your time on set like working on Fresh Off the Boat?
Working on Fresh Off The Boat as Walter’s girlfriend was so much fun!! The Sunday before the week of the shoot we all took skating lessons at a roller rink in Van Nuys. We all had some slips and falls!! LOL!!! But it was so much fun!! At the roller rink I was able to really get to know the cast and my set “boyfriend”. Haha!
I also made really good friends that I still keep in touch with. Forrest is a true talent and I loved working with him and still remain friends with him!! I really am so blessed to have worked on such an amazing show!!!!
4. How did you enjoy working with Hudson Yang?
Oh Hudson!!!!!! LOL, he brings so much fun to the set!!! But, even though he brings so much laughter to everyone around him he is still so professional! He delivers his lines and character amazingly and it was truly an awesome experience working with him!
5. What was your shoot for your Kia commercial like?
My first round of Kia commercials were actually done in 2013 I shot 4. But later I was notified by my manager that the production company wanted to shoot another round for a different vehicle! I remember being super excited because I did not have to audition and was directly booked!!!! Yay! That second series was a total of 5 I think? I also got to work with a different brother for that second round of commercials. His name was Dominic and he was adorable and amazing.
6. What was the best part of filming your episode of Richie Rich?
The best part of filming Richie Rich was the super cool set! I really liked seeing all the awesome props and sets! But of course more than that was working with my friend Jenna Ortega! Jenna is one of the best most amazing people I know!!! I was super excited to be on set with her!!
7. Are there any differences between working on a network/cable series vs. a Netflix series?
Differences between a Netflix series and a cable/network series……. Hmmmm, I really enjoyed the experience being able to work both. To be honest I didn’t feel too much of a difference! I am just grateful I have done both!
8. What was your first day on set of 100 Things to Do Before High School like?
OMG!!!!!!!!! My first day on set of 100 Things was AMAZING!!!!!! I couldn’t wait to hurry up and find my friend Jaheem(Fenwick) I didn’t tell him I booked the role of Lori Loudly so I wanted to surprise him!!!!! haha…… Meeting Scott Fellows(the creator) was absolutely amazing and inspiring!!! I felt so comfortable on set and the cast really made me feel like I was part of their family! Isabela is a true talent she’s so nice and welcoming!!!! I think my first day/week was probably the best ever!! I got to hang out with the cast and get to know everyone! I will forever cherish my time and experience on such an amazing Nickelodeon show!!!!!!! I have made true friends and totally respect the work they put into 100 Things!!! Isabela, Jaheem, Owen and Brady are just amazing!!!
9. What is your favorite part about your character Lori?
My favorite part about playing Lori Loudly……. Well, I’m the LOUDEST one on the set to start haha, but I’ve really enjoyed being a crazy, funny, loud and just silly character!!! She’s so easy to play cause I can act as silly as I want, and to me that’s a lot of fun!
10. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with this year?
My favorite people to work with this year is such a hard question!!!!! I feel so very blessed to have worked with Scott Fellows!!! He isn’t just the producer/creator of 100 Things, he’s soooooo much more!!!! He works with everyone on a personal note to ensure he gets his desired outcome! When Scott would take me aside to help me with Lori Loudly I would think to myself, “WOW!!! I’m getting one on one coaching, advice and direction on such a personal level from SCOTT FELLOWS!! No way any coach, manager or even agent can teach or give me what I’m getting right now” I honestly felt honored to be part of his show!!! I also really enjoyed working with Isabela Moner. Yes we are close in age, but I still was able to learn from her. She’s very professional and a pleasure to work with!
We’d like to thank Laura for participating in this year’s Holiday Q&A Event!
