2015 – Judah Nelson

1. How did you get started in the industry?

Well, whenever my older sister got an audition, I always did her scenes with her. This kept going and going until I realized I really liked acting! She practiced with me, then I auditioned to play her & Jason Sudeikis’s son on Portlandia, and I got the part! That was my first role that started it all.

2. What was the experience like doing voice over work for Over the Garden Wall?

Really cool! I was given one night to learn an original song! Two of my older brothers helped me learn it really fast. I had done ADR, but it was my first voice over 🙂

3. What was it like filming your episode of Two and a Half Men?

Really fun! It was a great set and everyone was really nice. Ashton was very sweet and spent some time with us beforehand. It was also fun because my sister played his kid too!

4. What was the best part of working on Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues?

AMAZING!! Will Ferrell, Adam Mckay, Steve Carell, Christina Applegate, and all of the amazing actors on that movie treated me with so much respect, and made me feel like family! They taught me so much about what it means to be an actor. I also had a birthday on set. Christina gave me a RC helicopter, and the prop guys gave me a rocket!!

5. How did you enjoy attending the premiere for the film?

It was so cool!! It was my first red carpet experience, and I’ll admit I was nervous. The carpet was a little overwhelming! But it was so nice to see everyone again. So that helped. I even got to walk the red carpet with the dog who played Baxter!

6. If you could work on any project with your siblings what would it be?

I would love to do an adventure movie, where it’s just us!

7. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?

Definitely Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate!!

8. Do you have a favorite project that you have done?

Hands-down Anchorman 2. I loved going to New York and St. Simmons Island and laughing for three months with incredible people.
