2015 – Ava and Grace Scarola

 

Ava and Grace Scarola play the role of Avery Corinthos on General Hospital. This year they have also been seen on The Thundermans and in a commercial for Toyota. To keep up to date make sure to check back here at the site.

 

1. What was Ava and Grace’s time on set like filming for The Thundermans?

It was very professional and they shot their scenes very quickly

2. How did they enjoy filming their Toyota commercial?

The Toyota commercial was a lot of fun. The scene called for both a crying baby and a sleeping baby so that was a little difficult to achieve, but they were able to pull it off. We had Grace do the crying scene because she is easily upset when we take her bottle away and Ava did the sleeping scene because she usually goes down for her naps faster.

3. What was their first day at GH like?

The girls first day at GH was very exciting and everyone was very welcoming.

4. Is there a way to tell the girls apart? Can the cast tell the girls apart?

We used to be able to quickly tell the girls apart by who was sucking their thumb (Grace) and who was using the pacifier (Ava), but we recently weened Ava off the pacifier so it has made it more difficult to quickly tell them apart. The cast and crew can usually tell the girls apart because Ava is always quick to say hello and Grace takes a few minutes to warm up and get comfortable on set.

5. What is it like on set working with Maura West?

Maura West is such a talented actress. She moves through the scenes with the girls effortlessly and doesn’t get distracted when Ava or Grace start babbling or getting antsy.

6. How do Ava and Grace like working with Laura Wright?

They both love working with Laura Wright. She treats them like her own and is so caring and compassionate. She really makes each scene with them special.

7. What is it like working with Maurice Benard?

He is literally the best. He really takes the time to get to know the girls and because of that they have the best chemistry on set. When we show them pictures that he posts up on his social media the girls call him daddy…it’s really cute.

8. What was the experience like attending Mo’s event at GH Fan Weekend?

It was amazing to be part of such a fun event. The girls loved being around all the fans and especially Maurice.

9. Is there anyone Ava and Grace enjoy hanging out with backstage that they haven’t gotten a chance to work with?

They have worked with a majority of the cast of General Hospital. It would be fun to see them do more scenes with the other kids of GH.

10. Do you have a favorite scene of yours the girls have done for GH?

I really loved the scene when Sonny proposed to Carly and baby Avery was just hanging out on the bed with them. It was a very natural scene and just goes to show how great both Laura and Maurice are with our girls.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

We just wanted to thank all the fans for the constant support and positive feedback. The girls are truly blessed to be playing the role of Avery Corinthos and love being part of the GH family.
