Ashley Gerasimovich is Alexa’s younger sister. This year she has been busy filming The Detour and to keep up to date make sure to keep checking back here at the site!
1. What was the experience like shooting with Alexa and Erin for GAP?
I don’t really have anything to complain about! The clothes we were modeling were very comfortable, and when we weren’t modeling, we got the royal treatment! We were put in robes and got delicious snacks – personally that was my favorite part.
2. How did you feel when you saw the posters up in stores?
I thought it was really cool seeing myself on posters in malls and even in Times Square! It was especially cool since I was in the center of the photo.
3. What was your time on set like working on Take Me to the River?
Take Me to the River’s set was so different from New York. It had farms, hills and dirt roads. The people there were so friendly! It really felt good to get away from the rush of New York.
4. What is your favorite part of attending different screenings and events in the city?
I love seeing new movies before they come out. It’s actually very funny knowing that I everyone can see the movie in 2 weeks and I am watching it then and there. I love getting dressed up, it’s so fun!
5. How did you enjoy shooting for Toobydoo?
I had a lot of fun! I worked with the owner’s real daughter. I also had a lot of fun trying on all the bathing suits.
6. How do you prepare your lines for your projects?
I have many strategies, but one of them is I memorize the scenes we are doing the night before and let it sink in overnight. Then the next day, I look over the scripts to see if there is anything I missed.
7. What has the experience been like working on The Detour?
The Detour, honestly, was one of the best filming experiences of my career so far. Everyone was so fun! They all put up with me because I am a huge hugger!
8. What was your first day on set like?
I had a mix of excited and nervous emotions. Excited because I got to meet everyone on set, and nervous because of first day jitters!
9. How do you like working with Liam Carroll?
Liam is awesome! We actually became like brother and sister over the summer. Liam is super chill and doesn’t mind my energetic personality. I got to meet his real life sister, and he met my sisters too!
10. Is there anything you can tell us about what to expect for Delilah in the series?
I can tell you Delilah is part of a family that goes on a hilarious road trip! The Detour is super funny! Tell your parents to watch it this Spring!
We’d like to thank Ashley for participating in this year’s Holiday Q&A Event!
