Amiya Steed is a young actress/model from the New York City area. You may have seen her in episodes of The Mysteries of Laura, The Good Wife, and she will be seen in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 next year! To keep up to date, make sure to keep checking back at our Facebook page.
1. How did you get started in the industry?
I started in the industry at the age 2 when I participated in my very first fashion sponsored by my mother’s company Just 4 U Kids Expo. From there I gained confidence and a few months later I booked my first role in a TV pilot for CBS.
2. What was the experience like working on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2?
Working on the TMNT 2 set was an amazing experience. I can’t give away too many details, but look for me in this action packed film June 2016.
3. What was your time on set like filming The Good Wife?
This was my 1st time working on The Good Wife set. All of the actors and the director were great to work with.
4. How did you enjoy filming your Juicy Juice commercial?
The Juicy Juice commercial was such a fun project to work on. Not only was I able to try out their new products, but the producer gave me a fabulous mp4 player to take home too.
5. What is the best part about being on set of The Mysteries of Laura?
I have worked on MOL set 3 times. The best part of working on the set was meeting Debra Messing. She is such an amazing and humble person.
6. What was it like filming Show Me a Hero?
Show Me a Hero was a period piece it was fun to dress in the clothing that was worn before I was born. It was cool!
7. How did you enjoy shooting for Blue Moon Box?
I love science and working on projects. It felt natural for me to be on set. We created fun projects and most importantly, made a mess. I hope to shoot with them again.
8. How do you react when you see your self on TV?
I love it. I’m usually sitting in my living room watching a show and I pop up on the TV or if my mom and I are on the computer I’ll see my commercials on there. I feel like Disney star Zendaya 🙂 It feels great!
9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?
I have worked with Matlock’s Kene Holliday, CP Lacey, America Next Top Model Bianca Golden, and most recently Larry Wilmore
10. What has been your favorite project to work on so far?
I have 3 favorite projects one that I just recently shot for the Huffington Post, iPlay America commercial and Toys R Us commercial
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Amiya has over 150 fashion, print, theater, commercial, film, TV projects under her belt and look forward to having her own show one day.
