Aaralyn Anderson is a young actress/model from the New York City area. This year she has been busy doing commercials for comapnies such as Juicy Juice and the Adventure Aquarium, along with shoots for companies including Boscovs and Sierra Julian! To keep up to date make sure to visit her official website, like her page on Facebook and like her management’s page too.
1. What was Aaralyn’s time on set like filming her Juicy Juice commercial?
Well we had to wait a long time in holding for them to call me but we watched movies. Then when they called me I went right in to hair & makeup and then they told me I had to wait in this kitchen room while they finished getting the set ready. They gave me some juice and told me to just relax for a few minutes. Next thing I know the Fruit Bowl was talking to me!!!! They surprised me with what I thought was waiting to be the actual shoot. It was so much fun to be surprised like that!
2. What was the coolest part of filming the Adventure Aquarium commercial?
WOW so much! I got to spend 2 days in the Aquarium! I got to work with a Penguin who actually walked on set! She was so cute! Then I was face to face with a Hippo! I got to feed sting rays and sit in a shark tank! It was sooooo much fun! When we weren’t on set we were playing, watching movies and eating…they had lots of great snacks!
3. How did she react seeing it on TV the first time?
When I first saw my Adventure Aquarium commercial I yelled “Mommy I am on TV” she came running and screamed with glee. I love getting to see myself in the finished products!
4. What is the best part about shooting for Boscov’s?
I get to model lots of fun clothes. The photographer likes to have fun so I can be sassy, serious or silly during the shoot.
5. What was the experience like for Aaralyn to work on the short film The Hamster?
Shooting the film The Hamster was an amazing experience! They put me up in a nice hotel in Brooklyn during the shoot and we would sit on the roof top in my down time and look at the world! We shot at lots of different locations which was fun. I even had a fake bedroom where they gave me lots of stuff to keep from it when we were done. We are crazy excited for it to start showing, we are just waiting to see which major festivals will accept it. Can’t wait for everyone to see my first lead role!
6. How did Aaralyn enjoy shooting for McCall’s Patterns?
McCall’s was very nice. The ladies are so sweet. I got to model some new designs that the ladies actually made. This comes out for ES16.
7. What was Aaralyn’s time on set like filming The Characters?
Its was FUN! I got to share my jokes with Tim Robinson from SNL who I worked with that day. He liked one of my jokes so much he said he was stealing it! When we got to set I found out I had to be on a Big Girl bike with no training wheels which I had never done before but I suited up with the helmet and pads and got on that bike and rocked that scene! Tim offered to pay me in taffy’s when we were done. I negotiated for 10 taffies! Seriously though it was a lot of fun! And a fun fact of this project: When I got on set and they were getting ready I noticed the one guy and he recognized me and my mom, he was the same Cinematographer who shot The Hamster!
8. What was her shoot like for Sierra Julian?
The designer is one of my favorites so it was such an honor to model for this line. Holding was in a pretty garden and we shot at different locations in the area. It was a lot of fun! Look for me in SS16 ads for Sierra Julian!
9. Who have been some of her favorite people to work with this year?
This is a really hard question because each project was amazing and so was everyone I worked with!
10. What has been her favorite project to work on this year?
ALL OF THEM…and the ones not yet had because I love every single opportunity!
