2014 – Tai Urban

 

Tai Urban appeared in an episode of Parenthood during the first season. This year he’s been busy working on multiple projects including a recurring role on Shameless! To keep up to date make sure to like his page on Facebook and follow him on Twitter.

 

1. How did you get started in the industry?

When I was about 6 months old I started as a baby extra. My first TV show was the Drew Carey show.

2. What was the experience like working on Parenthood?

It was a long time ago and it was for one episode. I remember that the cast was nice.

3. What was it like filming Mike & Molly?

It was enjoyable to be on set because the crew was very friendly and nice. The cast was funny, so we laughed a lot.

4. How did you enjoy filming The Avengers?

I worked on an interesting set. The director was great to work with because he knew exactly what he wanted, so the scenes went quickly and he made it a fun experience.

5. What was your time on set like working on Dexter?

I worked on set by the ocean, so it was a nice set to be on and there were a lot of other kids my age to hang out with on set.

6. What has been your most challenging role to play to date?

It was hard to play a bully because I like to joke around be silly, so it was hard to be mean to some of the cast members that I would joke around with when we were not filming.

7. Who are some of your favorite people you’ve worked with?

Joan Cusack. She is very personable and friendly…and funny.

8. What inspired you to get behind the camera and work on your own series Talent Watch?

I thought it would be a good way to interact with celebrities and work on improv in case I wanted to pursue hosting even more in the future.

9. What has the experience been like having a recurring role on Shameless?

It was fun being able to see the same cast members and work with the same crew. It was like being part of a family.

10. Do you have a favorite scene you’ve done for the show?

The scene on Shameless where I was on my cell phone. Sometimes you will find me listening to music on my cell phone, so it is something you would see me doing naturally.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

If there is something that you have always wanted to do, then just go for it. If you want to be an actor, dancer, musician, or whatever you dream is, then work hard and don’t give up.
