2014 – Samuel Caruana

 

Samuel Caruana played the role of Carl in an episode of The Neighbors. This year he has been busy working on multiple projects including Longing For Flesh and Blood and Girl Meets World. To keep up to date make sure to like his page on Facebook and follow him on Twitter.

 

1. What was the best part of working on The Compass Guide From Outer Space?

Shooting up on Bear Mountain. That was an awesome trip and staying in a cabin with the rest of the cast & our parents was fun!

2. What was the experience like being on Good Day New York?

It was actually my first on camera/ first television experience and they filmed me doing something I really , really love which is playing live jazz on my saxophone. It was great!

3. How do you prepare for your roles in theatre productions?

I rehearse, rehearse, rehearse alone, with the cast and director & with my acting coach.

4. What have you been up to this year?

Studying acting and learning new techniques. I have worked with the dialect coach from the film “12 Years A Slave” to add several southern dialects to my repertoire and I have also been working on my British dialects. I also began working with the great and amazing acting coach, John Kirby. He is a wealth of acting knowledge. A very humble person and I am really blessed to study with him.

5. What was the best part of working with Tracee Ellis Ross in Graduating 5th Grade?

Miss Ellis-Ross is a great comedienne and honestly the entire cast and crew including Miss Jenifer Lewis and our director , Miss Debbie Allen, are all tops in the field of comedy, so it was a real honor to be a part of that cast.

6. Is there anyone in the industry you specifically would like the chance to work with?

So many. Wow!! It would take me days to answer this question completely but I can say I would love to work with Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman on a western because I love to ride horses and I am a fan of not only Mr. Freeman and Mr. Eastwood as actors and directors but their riding skills are above par and I think it would be fun to work and ride, with them.

7. What was it like filming Girl Meets World?

Fun! Great cast and crew. Learned some great comedy techniques on that set and met some really great people.

8. Can you tell us anything about your role in Longing For Flesh and Blood?

Unfortunately because it is still filming, not much but I can tell you my character is nothing like me nor anyone I have ever played before.

9. Do you have any projects you are currently working on writing/directing?

I am always writing. I can’t stop writing. It’s something I really enjoy and I always have new ideas so I write every day. Hoping one day to direct a big budget feature. That’s my other other, other dream.

10. Are you involved with any specific charities or anti-bullying groups and what can you tell us about them?

I am a Youth Ambassador for the film “Bullies & Friends” which is very important, to me. This is a link to their website, where you may gather a wealth of information on anti-bullying and the film http://www.bulliesandfriends.com
