2014 – Nicolas Bechtel

 

Nicolas Bechtel plays the role of Spencer on GH. This year he has been seen on Girl Meets World and has had recurring roles on Rake and Red Band Society! To keep up to date make sure to follow him on Twitter.

 

1. How did you get the nerve to do your very first audition and what was it for?

I cried right before my first audition, my Mom had to give me a pep talk. It was for Little Caesar’s Pizza.

2. What was the experience like working on Red Band Society?

Red Band Society was awesome. It’s filmed 1900 miles from my home so it’s a 4 hour flight. Everyone on that show is so cool, they’re all so close. They hang out in each other’s rooms and Nolan even played darts with me…

3. What was it like filming Girl Meets World? How is it different from filming General Hospital?

Girl Meets World was awesome. I love Auggie so I was excited to be able to work with him. It was MUCH different than GH. GH films an entire episode in 1 day so one take and you move along (at least you hope for one take) but GMW took somewhere around 52 takes. It was ok because the end result was great…

4. How are you enjoying filming the Spencer/Josslyn/Emma/Cameron storyline?

All of the story lines with Joss, Emma and Cameron are fun…

5. What are your favorite sets to film on for GH?

My favorite set at GH is probably Wyndemere because that’s my house…

6. How do you like working with Kelly Thiebaud?

I love Kelly Thiebaud. She has such a great heart. She laughs out loud and she’s always so upbeat. She has always been one of my favorites. I am sad she’s leaving GH but I am happy for her and wish her the very best…

7. What is it like working with Laura Wright?

Laura Wright is cool. You see her one minute and she has big, curly hair and then you see her an hour later and her hair is straighter than straight…

8. What is your favorite type of job to do?

My favorite job is print jobs where I get to play with toys that I like…

9. How did you enjoy working with Bandai for their Digimon toys?

Working for Digimon was cool. It was neat to see myself on the package…

10. Do you have a favorite scene that you’ve done for GH this year?

My favorite scenes this year were my goodbye scenes with Britt because we were both really sad because that was our last scene together and also another favorite was my scenes with my Dad, Nikolas, where he told me that he threw Britt out and I had to be mad and yell at him. He yelled at me and I told him that I hated him. I really don’t hate him though. LOL…
