McKenna and Karleigh Larson played the role of Josslyn on General Hospital. This year the girls got to walk the runway for the Macy’s Fall Spectacular! To keep up to date make sure to keep checking back here at the site.

1. How did Karleigh and McKenna react when they found out they’d be a part of the Macy’s Fall Fashion Spectacular?

They were excited, but curious about what walking a runway as they had never done that before? So we got a coach and she worked with them and by the time they hit the catwalk .. they looked like pros and hammed it up!!! They liked changing clothes, putting on makeup, and being fussed over!

2. What was the experience like for them to be involved?

They had a great time. They also went home with a great new wardrobe

3. What was each of their favorite parts?

Karleigh liked wearing the HELLO KITTY birthday party dress/ tutu .. she loves twirling and this dress was perfect for that! McKenna loved being in the HELLO KITTY sweat suit with sequined bows … very sparkly but also very loose so she could run and be on the monkey bars later.

4. How did you react when you found out the kidney storyline they were writing for Josslyn?

I wasn’t told till the day we were filming the exact details. The week before the shoot the Casting Director visited our dressing room, and gave us the warning that one child was going to get very sick, and one wasn’t going to make it .. but she couldn’t release those details to us yet. The day before the shoot the stage manager called, gave us our call time, and warned us what the shoot was going to be like. Until we were on set, and I saw Karleigh lying there in the crib did it hit me that we were the one who was going to be “saved” VERY TOUGH!! But Karleigh was a champ – and everyone on set made the filming so easy and comfortable.

5. What was it like for Karleigh to film the hospital scenes?

They filmed them late at night (well for us as 7 PM is her bedtime) so when we got to set we had dinner and then to our room where Karleigh fell asleep (it was seven after all) – so when we went up everyone was hush hush and we just put her delicately in the crib. Everyone was so quiet until it was “show time,” and Karleigh just slept. I was so proud of her … but it was really tough seeing her like that. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house though. Everyone was affected because they had filmed all the Jake scenes earlier.

6. Did they ever get to spend time with Edward and James Nigbor backstage?

Twice … but the girls were really young and they were crazy boys running around so they all met and said hello … but that was about it. It would have been fun to do a story line or two together .. before the “hospital scenes.”

7. Have Karleigh and McKenna ever gotten to see themselves in the various soap magazines? If so, how do they react?

No – I have saved them but they haven’t seen them yet. They just weren’t interested in that type of stuff… but now they are reading and really into books, any kind! I will show them all the mags they were in later this year plus maybe even show them some youtube videos and whatnot. I know they will get a big kick out of all of it!

8. What has the best thing been about meeting the fans of the show at the luncheons?

Overwhelming, fun, exciting, It was always fun to go but we were always put aside … and now the other children are all showcased and I feel we paved the way for them as we showed up and walked around, and showed the event staff that the kids were important and should be part of the event. A little sad we never got to participate more. But the fans were always so grateful and supportive, and so happy to see the girls!

9. Are there any scenes for GH the girls filmed that we never got to see air?

No – you saw it all! They may have cut them down but I think everything they did got to air .. which was cool … because sometimes scenes we saw filmed when we were in the green room weren’t so lucky!

10. What have the girls been up to this year?

They have been going out on tons and tons of auditions .. but haven’t landed anything yet. Just a matter of time though. But until that happens, they are in Kindergarten and LOVING IT! Their teacher is amazing and they are on FIRE for learning, reading, and having fun with their new friends. They are also in gymnastics and have just perfected their cartwheels. Plus horseback riding where they ride on their favorite pony by themselves in the ring at a trot.

We’d like to thank McKenna and Karleigh for participating in this year’s Holiday Q&A Event!
