Star-Kidz

Katie and Maddie Chieco are young models from New Jersey. The girls have done a variety of projects and worked for companies including FAO Schwarz, NBC, and Toys R Us. Katie recently shot and ad for Rice Krispies, and to keep up to date make sure to like their management on Facebook!

1. How did Katie and Maddie get started in the industry?

I saw a post on fb about an open call for CP Talent and after meeting with the owner, Colette Palmerio, I decided to give the business a shot. I loved how Colette was with the girls and with what she had to say about the business. I knew right away we made the right decision.

2. What were the girls first bookings?

The girls first booking was a video called 18 kids/18 songs. They were so proud of themselves, it was so great to watch them smiling and doing what the loved. They were hooked after that and they made so many friends. It was the first of two jobs they have done so far together.

3. How did Katie and Maddie enjoy shooting for 18 Kids/18 Songs?

Maddie and Katie loved shooting that video!! They each got to pick a corresponding toy for a children’s song and then dance around while the band played music live. It was incredible watching how well they took direction and how uninhibited they were when it was their turn to have their solo.

4. Does Katie have a favorite memory from her Kana shoot?

I didn’t tell Katie that her friend Laney Rossell was going to be shooting with her and when she saw Laney that morning she went bananas!! Those girls were gabbing away between takes or playing on each others iPads but they were all business when it was their time to shoot.

5. What was the best part of the FAO Schwarz shoot for Maddie?

Maddie says her favorite part was getting her hair and makeup done and also getting to play with a gorgeous dollhouse all morning. She can’t wait for the toy to come out. She already has it on her wish list for Santa.

6. What was the experience like for Katie to be in the Tea Collection fashion show?

Katie said waking in the Tea Collection Fashion Show was her best day ever. She said she loved having fancy clothes on and cameras at the end of the runway when she posed. She told me that when it was done that she wished they could do it again.

7. Does Katie have a favorite Toys R Us shoot she’s done?

Katie’s favorite Toys R Us shoots are definitely the swing set ones. She just shot her second one recently and Katie says it is so much fun to play with all the kids and take fun pictures. She also thinks having hair and makeup done in a motor home is pretty neat, too.

8. What was the experience like for their first East Coast Starz event?

Both Maddie and Katie are officially hooked on StarGazer Shows, they have a countdown going for the next one. They shined on stage and then had a great after party when it was done – complete with Princesses and Mary Poppins. They were in heaven that day!

9. Who have been some of Katie and Maddie’s favorite people to work with?

The girls definitely love any opportunity to work with each other and share the experience. They shot an NBC News Promo together this summer and watching the girls feed off one another was really special to watch. Katie loved working with her three good friends Laney Rossell, Mia Gallizzi and Lia O’Halloran! They are the sweetest and most talented kiddos to watch work. Katie also liked working with Lex Fuster at the Tea Collection Show but I think they may have a little crush on each other.

10. What has been the girls favorite project to work on so far?

So far, the NBC Promo was their favorite project. They got very excited when they saw Lauren Scala in person, they just stared and smiled the whole time that they were by her. It was a long day but Maddie and Katie had a blast on set. The producer gave them both hats when they finished and they now have them displayed in their bedrooms. I think they may be the only little girls to play dress up with princess dresses and their NBC News caps.

We’d like to thank Katie, Maddie, and their family for participating in this year’s November Q&A series!
