Star-Kidz

Cody Hamilton played the role of Young Ryder on The Young and the Restless. He’s been seen on Miami Medical, Glee, and his film Crush came out on DVD this year. To keep up to date, make sure to keep checking back at the site.

1. How did you get started in the industry?

My mom submitted me to Major Minors before I was born. He took me on after I was born.

2. What was your first booking? Do you remember being on set the first time?

The Best Damn Sports Show. I was 1 month old. I don’t remember it but I saw it so many times I feel like I do.

3. What was it like to play a younger version of a soap character?

It was fun because I liked the kids I hung out with.

4. Do you have a favorite job you’ve done for Mattel?

Many, but my favorite was the speck commercial where there were special effects. There was dried ice coming into the room with crazy lights while my t.v. brother and I raced cars.

5. What was the experience like filming Glee?

Awesome! To meet the characters. I loved singing and dancing on the stage. After 4 hours I wanted to keep doing it!

6. What was it like working with Chord Overstreet?

He was very cool and nice but I loved Fin 🙁

7. How did you enjoy working on Miami Medical?

It was fun because I got to see behind the scenes of a hospital set and play with the equipment. To realize it looks way different than on T.V.

8. What was the best part of filming Crush?

The best part was hanging off the two story house. It was fun doing a stunt. (and scary when I had to let go with one hand.) Oh… and the girl was really cute.

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?

Fin, Chord, Diana (she was hot and nice)from Glee. Ashleigh from Crush. The cast of Trust Me were great. They swung me around and kept punking me through out the shoot.

10. What has been your favorite project to work on?

My favorite project was Glee. I could have sang and danced with them all day. One great thing about acting is you get to do things you wouldn’t if you weren’t an actor.

We’d like to thank Cody for participating in this year’s Holiday Q&A Event!
