2012 – Rory and Declan McTigue

Rory and Declan McTigue played the role of Lil A on All My Children. The boys have had several roles on television, been in commercials and done several print jobs throughout their career. They currently play the role of Teddy on HBO’s hit series Boardwalk Empire and won a SAG Award with the cast earlier this year!

 

 

1. Do you still see any of your fellow AMC castmates?

YES! We hang out with Lucy Merriam and we are in contact with Alexa Gerasimovich – planning on seeing them both again in NYC soon

 

2. How did you like working with Michael E Knight?

It was great. Michael was always caring and helpful

 

3. What was it like working with Jacob and Brittany?

It was wonderful. The both took care of us… they were like family and we miss them soooo much!

 

4. What is your favorite part of working on Boardwalk Empire?

The kids and how great the production is… the lighting crew, camera, props. We also like the story Terrance Winter writes and how everyone works very hard and for very long hours to make sure the show is a success

 

5. How do you like working with Kelly Macdonald?

She is so great! She is really nice and a good actress. She is almost as funny as steve…and she makes everyone laugh during rehearsal. She is also really nice to talk to.

 

6. What is it like working with Steve Buscemi?

Its awesome! Steve is a really, really, really nice person – and he is super funny. We sometimes goof off on during rehearsal… he tells the funniest knock-knock jokes and he is a great role model and the best actor ever. We are trying to learn from him!

 

7. What have been your favorite scenes to film for AMC? Boardwalk Empire?

AMC: Scenes whith Jacob and also scenes with Vincent Irizarry especially the electric car christmas scene. But there are so many!

BE: The scene in the NYC hotel room when Teddy and Nucky talked and Teddy promised Nucky that he wont tell.

 

8. Do the boys take turns filming, or does one film more often?

We always take turns

 

9. What are some of the funniest things to happen behind the scenes?

During rehearsal of Emily’s birthday party, Nucky was to pass out due to the concussion he got when the Ritz exploded on the boardwalk. He was supposed to faint and collapse. Just before he rolled back his eyes and fell to the ground, he stared at us all serious and waved good-bye. We all had to laugh so hard!

 

10. What is your favorite AMC memory?

The people. We were part of the cast for two years and made many friends. The cast of AMC were like family to us and we really, really miss them.
